I do think, however, that the scope sway on the Sniper Rifles is too high, the AR uses can see you at the same range without the huge sway and 9/10 times if they get the first shot off you're dead due to the strange super accurate ARs.
I think taking the scope off the AR would balance it out pretty well though.
i think that would balance things out a bit too. no longer the sniping ARs because they can pinpoint their shots. |

I find that I'm constantly over compensating.
Example - I have someone in my sights. Pop a few bullets off. They quite rightly, move. I move joystick to direction they're running. Im not catching hm up in my crosshairs. I push a tad harder on joystick. Woomph, I've now shot my crosshairs right past the dude.
It's almost like there's no middle ground on the joystick. I can either move really slowly or really fast.
Best game I ever played that had awesome aiming mechanics was BattleField 2. It just simply worked, and I wished Dust would too.
i have the same problem, i don't want to turn down the sensitivity because then it will cause my turning to slow down.
mouse controls are really the only way to go, just make sure you have the controller nearby if you hop into a turret because mouse controls are god awful. |

If I have to start using a mouse to aim on a PS3 to play a FPS, I really will be thinking that something isn't right. The whole reason I bought a Console was because it neatly fits under my TV. If ever I want to play, I grab the controller, plump my ass on the sofa, and off I go. If I have to add a mouse and flat surface to my playing environment, I'd rather not play.
I love the concept of this game, but CCP seen to be forgetting the fundamentals of console gaming. Or perhaps they are exactly where they want to be and I'm not the kind of customer they're targeting.
i don't think CCP even knows what they are trying to target.
if it was a CoD style game they are jumping on that horse after it was killed and buried and and now they are digging up the corpse just to beat it again. modern warfare games are losing customers because it was beaten so many times.
futuristic shooters are also a shaky as well. shortly after they are released give 4-6 months and the only people that are playing the game are the few diehards of the franchise. tribes ascend is pretty empty and I'm pretty sure halo 4 will be empty very quickly only being pulled out when friends are over perhaps and that would be it.
the attention span of the modern casual gamer is very short.
and this game is being pulled in way too many direction to really tell what it's going to be. they want it to be balanced like a modern FPS but they want it to have ultra fittings that stomp on everyone like a time beats all game. everyone moves like a modern FPS but there are infinity rockets flying around from vehicles and jeeps like a arena style FPS.
are they wanting to be like halo or are they wanting to be like CoD/BF? |
