It's not like you can read a 'Reminder' of what the 'NDA' means on this forum. |

yes there is still an nda but I dont why considering the game is pretty much available to anyone who pays the 20 bucks or is a playstation plus user. This game is anything but a closed beta its more like an open beta now |

Its also available to any PS3 user who goes to Playstation Home and gets a code from the Dust 514 Event Horizon Lounge. Of course you still have to do a couple steps to get a redeem key, so technically, I'd still call it a closed beta. But I'd call it a closed beta in spirit only, since virtually anyone who wants to get in, could get in. |

but the NDA is there so they don't get any reviews. The graphics aren't done, the lighting isn't done, the game play isn't even done.
This review is dumb becuase it's a review of a tech demo not a game |

NDA is still in effect till we see a thread go up here about it, and i'm surely going to wait for Dev confirmation for that day. |

YouTube videos of gameplay are showing up daily now. What is CCPs stance on those? On one hand it helps sell the game on the other ..well it's still in beta. Every time I see one I warn the person that posted the video that they are violating the NDA. I have seen several replies that indicate they think that since they paid $20 for the Merc Pack in the PS Store and got into the game that it means the game is open to all and it wouldn't be "for sale" if it was still in Beta. They are wrong of course, and of course they don't read the NDA either. Does CCP have someone googling YouTube for DUST 514 videos? It's gotten a lot more pervasive since the PS-Plus players were given keys.

We've heard rumblings from CCP that the NDA is going to be lifted soon. That's good, and all I can personally hope is that they do it as soon as possible. Right now it's almost frustrating to be a member of the Dust community. People from the outside look in, ask questions, make comments, and maybe even express interest in Dust that we could foster...if the NDA wasn't sitting here tying our hands.
There are so many people involved in the beta now that I can't imagine what's stopping CCP from lifting the NDA. They're certainly not keeping any information back by this point. All they're hampering are legitimate enterprises directed at educating the online community about what makes Dust great. |

Honestly, I can't wait for it to be lifted. All the of the people with valuable, honest opinions have been silent because they've been following the NDA while all the idiots who can't play a game beyond killing the prettiest faces couldn't give less of a d***. |
