Ok, I'll try to explain my idiocy briefly. I share my PS3 with my brother, after setting up my dust account under my PSN id, I left for work. When I returned I turned on the PS3 and logged into Dust and realized I had to redo everything (set up character, create class, etc). I thought it was a glitch or something that didn't save my initial character creation. My brother walks in and ask why im playing under his PSN id! So now I have a Dust account under my PSN id and his PSN id. Is there a way to delete the DUST info from his PSN id so it doesn't interfere with my account. From the looks of it though, anything he does doesn't seem to affecting my account. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. |

Anything you do whilst logged into your PS3 account will not affect his account, and vice versa, so you can delete all of the characters from his account without anything happening to your characters.
The Dust program is stored on your PS3, and when you load DUST it then retrieves your information for characters etc. from the servers, depending which account you are logged into at the time.
I hope this clears this up
Ps - this also means that if you had a second PS3 one of you could log into your PSN account on the second PS3 and you could play at the same time on the already existing accounts. Again. the reason is that all your information is retrieved everytime you log into DUST (or most online games). Its not like in the old days where your game stats are saved to the Playstation. If this is incorrect DEV's please correct me. |

On another note then, It would seem I'm stuck with two accounts then. And 6 characters? My brother doesn't have to apply for a beta key then either? He can just play on my second account if that is how it works. I still would like to know if there is any way for me to delete the data under his PSN id. I don't want to log on one day to a perma chat ban because of something my brother said. Because although the data may be retrieved from servers, it is still all based on MY email address.

you created toons under his account. his account would get banned not yours. dust is not affiliated with your brothers account, you can verify this by checking your brothers Services List. Dust will be under you account, not his. if you put your email in while creating toons on his account, o well, it doesn't matter. CCP just wanted to know your email so they can *spam* you (jk about spam).
anyway, yes, create a bunch of accounts on your ps3 using fake emails and you can have unlimited Dust accounts! :)
also, you're limited to having Dust activated on only 2 ps3's at the same time. so, you can also have two ps3s running dust with many many accounts! have fun! stop your worrying you worry wort |
