I think he's only been on communication if he feels the maps are small. |

You have to purchase HAV and Dropships; only the LAV's are free.
The purpose for the game is to simulate a warzone for control of a planet. Each planet will be divided into districts (10-20 districts). Each district is a combat zone. The team that wins the most districts win's the planet. |

I hope they end up adding it in within the first year, I want to be able to scope out good places to put bases and things like that, and being able to hunt for resources and loot would just be awesome. Not everyone likes shooting people all day every day (myself included, despite being pretty good at it) Sometimes, you just gotta explore alien planets with your dropship.
My guess is that locating resources will continue to happen in Eve. This is a core mechanic in Planetary Interaction, which is basically mining. You perform scans of the planet from orbit to see where you want to place items and structures based on available resources.
As for the exploration part, I wonder if that will come with PvE. |

DISCLAIMER: ignore the beginning
Calm down - he's new to the game (he'd had only played for 30 mintues when he started - did you explore the market the first time you logged in or did you jump into a match first thing). Let's try to help the new players, not scare them off. |

When you say after the fact that it is a joke, it doesn't make the first impression go away. I didn't even take the time to read the disclaimer because what you said angered me. I apologize.
Keep in mind as well, that playfully picking on people in text format, especially on forums where people have been attacking others for no reason, can be hard to pick up on. |

When I play EvE, I do PI, so I know all that stuff. It wouldn't detract from PI players at all, if anything, it would make them infinitely more valuable. What would you rather do, scour an entire planet for resources, or ask your PI buddy to scan down pockets for you?
Oh I agree not would be fun. I'm just not sure it would happen. |
