I think it would be fun to at least get to go up against the guys behind the scenes at least once before release. Anyone else think this would be fun or does anyone have any thoughts on this?

 2. As a CCP Dev. They may have unlimited budgets, but again no haxx.

 3. Role-playing. Here they may use unique items or abilities (such as Sansha motherships) but in this mode their objective is to provide content for players, not to win.

They do have an "internal affairs" division which keeps an eye on these things, following a rather infamous scandal a few years back.

The CCP philosphy is more to chuck a load of options at the players, see what they do with it, and then buff or nerf items to keep things roughly balanced.

However, I do ask a question: who would take them on? How would we select the team? We can't have everyone fight them at once for obvious reasons.

True! I'm on 1. and we used 2. only during events such as Gamescom. We don't jump in incognito with all skills at level 5 in a public server.

Would be nice a match VS players, using a normal toon :)

To this day, I remember back in WoW beta when the devs and gms starting raining down infernals on our pour souls, how pretty much everybody banded together in hopes of stopping them to no avail. It was the most fun I had in that game.

Now imagine this your merc's final match corp war event, all corps are set up for a match against Jovians. Only 3 player showsup on the Jovian side. Ha! 16 of us against 3 of them? The battle is in a small roundish map with little cover. Jovian gets a 30 second head start where he summons a Jovian tank. Your team fights desperately, using all the tricks you learned in beta, you even try to coordinate your whole squad to fire their swarms at once. It deals a good 8% damage to the beast. Maybe this way you manage to even down its shield, only to see the shield repair kick in. In the end it is hopeless and your squad is decimated. Make it so a player can only participate once and reward everyone who participated in a Jovian survivor reward. For added awesomeness announce this event as a regular corp war but forget to announce the match ups.
