I'd like to be able to purchase an Affiliation changer of Empire - Corporation for AUR and be able to keep my bought items and character name. Also not have to reset any SP or loadouts just affiliation.
Another similar item could be a name changer.
I think that for the most part their aren't many items I would want to spend real money on in this game, and I don't want for it to be pay to win. So thank you for that, but I do think things like I mentioned above would help boost AUR sales.
Other great items to sell could be permanent Suits and item packs similar to the mercenary pack as I personally would be more likely to buy those.
Even creating permanent higher level dropsuits that have prerequisites appropriate to that level would be great. I don't mind spending the ISK on dropsuits that aren't permanent but I'm less likely to purchase an AURUM suit that isn't since its real money. |

The economic affect of costing the enemy isk in war atrittion will play role when launched, so above standard level unlimited drop suits would be more pay-to-win then a small stat boost one time item. Some kind of paint/reskin for isk suits as a permanent aura item would be good. something like 10 aur for one suit, or 1000aur for bpo of colour scheme and pay normal isk price for suit in standard colour or any aur purchased colour.
The corp/empire affiliations will be changeable once player corps and standings are added. Standings are each factions/corps view of you. Do npc missions/contracts for a corp it goes up attack them it goes down. Buying standing is one of the thing that was called pay-to-win when EvE had aur added, I don't think ccp even suggested it players just said no in advance. Loyalty can still change, just can't be bought.
Reputation is huge in New Eden, so there will not be any way to change name without a huge out cry against it. Same thing with changing race/bloodline. Plenty of gallente fought on caldari side in faction war, it has no in game effect besides char look.

As above, however I thought you could change your name in Eve ! Is it not somewhere on the website ? Sure you can pay real money to change your character name, however it's not through AUR bought items, it's completely out of game and just an account management thing. Also changing corporation is fine as long as it's to a player owned corp, but if you leave player owned corp in Eve you go back to your default NPC corp dependant on your Factional heritage and a bit of random. I'm sure they'll apply the same to DUST, so the only way to get out of your NPC corp would be to join a player owned corp or reroll your character as a different Faction or bloodline. |

The concept of "Aura" as a flavor you can apply to any suit as a permanent item sounds good to me. Personally, I wouldn't really consider an upper tier suit permanent as pay to win, but its a valid arguement and find your suggestion to be prefferable as well.
I didn't mean to suggest paying money to change standing with a faction or whatever else as in a game changing dynamic, but rather to change one's "Factional heritage" something that doesn't really affect game play or loyalty.
I don't really see a name change being a problem and really would be more beneficial than not in terms of CCP revenue, and wouldn't hurt the game.
Also if one did create a corporation or clan or whatever it is called in this game being able to buy a name changer for that as well would be smart. As well as perhaps a color changer for player/corporation names (not neccesarily permanent).
I would think with the suit color changer it should be a pre-fab specific to a suit type as well.
Also an item to respec a character's skill would be useful.
Honestly I'd like to see more purchaseable items that don't affect gameplay in any way that players would be interested in such as i have previously mentioned, and perhaps camoflauge(flair) for guns / vehicles as well.
As it is I don't really see myself spending more than $5 - $10 on AUR to buy items that I'll just lose anyways and can just as easily get with ISK. |

honestly I'd like more of a discussion for atlernative things to purchase to help sustain the game, because honestly I don't really see the in game currency system doing to well after launch... |

Your race and bloodline will never change... BUT your affilation with your corp and alliance (currently the empire) will change freely. You just need to join a new corp/alliance.
If you play faction wars, you'll just change sides. You may need to grind standing with the desired empire.
(erm, note.. This is all judging by mechanics in eve) |

I think the whole AUR for a different colored suit that is lost if you die while it aint pay to win i cant imagine it catching on to be honest i think it make more sense to the fella getting it if they were getting a camouflage pattern that could be used as often as one pleased on as many suits as they want or maybe if it was suit specific
I think this could also encourage CCP to make many color patterns and misenious items that people could get as vanity items
This method would make the new Aur suit items reusable as people on this have said they want but also does not break the isk economy by making a BPO for a suit just a color for the suit it also opens up a ability to stream line the drop suit selection of load out making as the drop suit choice looks rather cluttered if you do have a few AUR suits bought as now they wouldn't exist but the way to implant them would be by a new option maybe in the fitting if color was beside grenade slot |

Consdiering you're a mercenary I would imagine you'll be able to switch sides as you prefer. It would be a strange thing to lock people into a particular corporation/side, if for no other reason than, as this beta has shown, some sides are vastly more popular than others (Gallente vs. Amarr). |
