That would be neat! Great post and answers, this was very valuable information to me. +1 So This means that each game (corp) has to share control over a planet ? who gets the mosT $$$ from this planet who makes dust wepons , who do we actually buy them from? i guess im asking are dust players goin to be totally dependent on eve and its corps. How will dust players make isk. will it be from fighting alone? Ive got alot of questions? ill ask one set at a time. This is the first set !!! lol
1) No, they don't have to share control. Unless they're in the same corporation, and/or in the same alliance.
2) I would say both sides have equal opportunity to make money, but considering that the economic aspects of EVE are not so much a focus in Dust, it's very likely that EVE players will be making the vast majority of this money. However, considering the ideal that EVE and Dust players will be working together, the income generated by Dust productivity and the income received by EVE trading will be shared amongst the two. I imagine, however, that given time Dust players will have the opportunity to set up their own markets and buy/sell orders in orbiting stations, assuming there is a station in orbit near/around the planet.
In response to the second half of the question, I can almost guarantee you that basic items will be NPC generated, meaning you can get them anywhere. More advanced equipment and armor - AKA the expensive stuff - will likely be bought off EVE players via industrial corporations.
3) Dust will not be totally dependent on EVE. It is likely Dust will be fairly dependent on EVE in the very early stages for more advanced battles (like funding those fancy proto suits), but the idea is that the games will be able to work independently just as easily. However, you'll be missing out on an enormous part of the experience, not to mention potentially millions (if not billions) of isk if you play your cards right.
4) Again, Dust players will eventually be able to make isk by selling industrial goods off of a planet's surface. It's still unknown as to whether or not this will require aid from EVE, although I feel it will likely be necessary if you want to make any sort of a profit off of your goods. |
