I realize there's a thread about a similar issue that gives this message. Something about it stopping at the 2% mark. That's not my issue. Everything was running fine. My friend decided to spend 20 bucks on the merc pack so he could download the beta at home. He came over, and logged into his profile on my PS3 and played for a while. Now when I switch back to my profile and try to load the game up. It gives me this message. Once it got all the way to select a character. And as I was sitting there, before I chose anything, it popped up the message again, and booted me out. However, if I switch to his profile, he can load the game and play just fine. So it's only my profile that has the issue. If it matters, I have purchased the Merc pack multiple times, he only purchased it once. |

Having the same issue. I purchased a Merc pack as well, but that was a few days ago and the game was working fine yesterday. Got home from work today, tried to play and when the game goes to load in the beginning it just sits at
synchronizing... and stops at whatever percentage, then tells me "downloaded files corrupt, please try again later"
on my 4th try now and up to 63%, hoping it goes through *crosses fingers*
ETA: I just got in as i was typing this, everything seems to be in order, I know that is not an answer for you but I will tell you to just keep trying and hopefully you will get on aswell, good luck |

Same issue. Mine doesn't want to load past 48%.
***EDIT#1*** Actually, my issue is moderately different, as it told me to reinstall.
CCP, you've got some splainin' to do. Just what's going on all of a sudden?
***EDIT#2*** I made it in. No reinstall necessary. It took a century to synchronize. Hopefully it won't do that again. |

Mine did tell me to re-install the first time, I just kept trying to load the game and subsequent times it didnt say anything about reinstalling, I am however without any weapons or equipment now :( |

I hate to say it after the trouble you had getting in, but you probably want to reboot and see if it's all still gone. |

I highly recommend NOT doing that, or at least, backup your data right before doing so. I followed that step, and when I did, the PS3 gave me an error and told me that the PS3 Storage Device was invalid (or something to that effect) and I have to format. Even after exiting out of the safemode and rebooting, it gives me the same message now. So I was forced to format and lost everything. Luckily, I backed up about a month ago, so I haven't lost much. But i'm uber paranoid now. And 2.5 hours before my restore is back, then I get to have fun redownloading everything i've downloaded in the past month, Dust 514 included. *sigh*
On a side note, I bet my problem is fixed! LOL! |

And within the past hour, I got a message from CCP in my e-mail inviting me to Beta Test Dust 514...
...oh CCP how you taunt me. =P |

unless something is severely jacked up on your ps3 hdd then it shouldn't give you any problems. if your ps3 needed to reformat its cause it needed it and its not CCP or Dust |

I'm not blaming CCP or Dust for it. I didn't mean to imply that. I'm just saying make sure your data is backed up before trying the Safe Mode utilities. Anyway format done. Data back on the system. Now i'm just re-downloading Dust now. Won't know if the problem is resolved until it's up-to-date. For anyone that's interested, i'll post an update later. (or tomorrow) =) |

Wow. After completely reformatting my hard drive, and reinstalling the game from scratch, I STILL get the message. I give up. *sigh* |

If it helps any. It starts off by saying "updating, downloading changes". Thing is. As far as I know. There haven't been any changes today? Not sure. But anyway, it always slows down at 46% synchronizing, and at 48% is when the error pops up and it forces me to restart the client. This is as far as I can get. Not sure what else I can do at this point. =/ |

Been getting the same error message at 48% for the past two days. Before this I hadn't been on Dust for more than a week. |

sounds like your issue is similar to these folks, https://forums.dust514.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=35100&find=unread
to me, it sounds like a network issue. follow my link in that thread regarding opening ports or placing your ps3 in your DMZ. also i mentioned it could be due to your region? idk why but i think some regions get shafted often. make sure to send your issue to CCP support at [email protected] include your PSN, in game name, your region and anything else you think may be helpful |

Yeah I just read something about that in a similar article, and I went through the steps but not sure if I got it right. If you have the time, would you mind going and reading my questions in this thread?
Cant get in to Dust? Load times too long?
Thanks in advance. =)
By the way, i'm in Central Time Zone (Missouri, USA) if it matters. |

i'm EST and i have replied. portforward.com should have the best instructions for you. btw, if you use DMZ you dont need to forward ports to your ps3. also, UPnP should be on, but if its still having issue, try it with it off. |

I had the same prolem after downloading the precursor patch. I simply deleted the settings and returned to the game; it worked immediately and all my accounts were still there |

Where do you go to delete the settings? I've checked both the Game Data Utility folder and the Saved Data Utility (PS3) folder. And there is no Dust 514 files anywhere. =( |

I have same issue deleted all saved data stuff and still sticks on Sync ... my Girlfriend has an account under a different PS3 profile on the same physical PS3 and she can log in fine so it does suggest its a PS3 Account Specific Issue.
However deleting your PS3 account and creating a new one is a pain.
UPDATE : I deleted my PS3 Account and re-created and this did NOT work - Attempting to re-install client now
It seems like the update process just puts the required files in the profile of the person who does the update so in my case the update happened when my Girlfriend was playing so she can continue to play on her profile but the files/update is not there in my profile so it fails.
UPDATE 2 : Full Re-install of Client Worked fine ... but I think thats a given |
