Been having a rough time with the Beta these past few days. For some reason I lost comms last Friday and once I isolated that it was unique to the Dust 514 Beta I decided to uninstall and reinstall the client.
Since then I have had numerous issues with the game freezing and crashing my PS3. Each episode ultimately ended with a message that the game was corrupted and I needed to reinstall again. Each time there was only a temporary fix. After the fifth time I decided to reformat my PS3 and gave up all of my saved game data, for all my games.
I hope it works, reinstalling the game now. Despite all the issues, I have really enjoyed participating in the Beta and obviously I don't want that to end. |

That sucks really bad... I would suggest posting this under the Bugs/Technical section and emailing their support. I also am enjoying the beta, but you got to put the safety of your property above just a beta test... |

There is a hotfix being deployed today for stability hopefully fi you continue to experince crashes then I suggest taking some time off if its stressing you or your ps3 too much. |

I don't really think it will change much at all since they still working on that issue so reinstall and reinstall but I don't think that will work but who knows maybe you will get lucky |

Are you sure the Dust Beta game client said the data was corrupted or was it that generic message when you turn your PS3 back on that says the system wasn't shut down properly? Because I've had the game crash a few times too, and never once have I had the actual Dust client tell me the game was corrupted.

For future reference, if you're a PS+ member you can back-up your saves online I believe. Also, if all else fails, you should be able to copy them all onto a USB stick. I bought an 8gb one on amazon for like $2.50--works great.

Waiting until the next patch (later this month?) when they (hopefully) have most of these fixed may be your best option. Some people have expressed concerns that these crashes and freeze ups can do some serious damage your PS3. |
