Yah OK, whatever you say dude. I dare CCP to release this game with it's current imbalance with infantry vs tanks, it won't go far. I have no problem taking down cheap and low tier tanks, but well fit marauders are basically invincible from what I've seen. No reason to do bad if you're driving one. Had one of my own last build, was going like 25-0+ every match even against really good infantry players, could take a whole squad of aggro and get away no problem and retreat to another part of the map and be ready for more kills with basically full EHP.
Now AV stuff has been nerfed...
Even easier now I suppose which is ridiculous xD |

Well, that really doesn't say much tbh.
Early on in the builds most people don't have super tanks, and everyone has got low tier gear for the most part. You were probably just destroying weak low tier tanks. I run militia AV and have only had a few hour long gaming sessions in this build, I have blown up a handful of weaker tanks but the well fit marauders are on a completely different level. They really do require a squad + to focus on them, and they probably still won't do much good against it unless they have good AV gear and the right circumstances are met. Even then I think the tank driver could get away unless they stick around too long.
Not too hard to realize when you're in a bad area with a tank anyway, just by the rate of incoming damage. With a well fit marauder you got plenty of time to get away. Missile launchers on tanks are so lethal against infantry that I never really budged when seeing a squad full when I was in mine the last build because I could easily kill a couple right off the bat, and no way would 2 people using SL's be able to destroy my marauder lol.
Now it's even more imbalanced with AV nerfs? It worries me to see other players state that there isn't a problem here. I'm sure CCP knows what they're doing though and changes will be made, I hear the AV nerf is only temporary anyway.
When you have such a high % of people saying there's a problem and most of the defenders are people that exploit that problem.. it's likely that there's a problem.
I do expect tank lovers to express the opposite opinion though, I mean I get it, easy kills for you guys, your only real threat is other tanks unless you've got a crap tank. I stand against imbalances though, even if it puts something I use in the spotlight for re-balancing because a win, and a good score means so much more when it's done on even terms. |
