that thread is for killcams.
I'm 100% against that. if you didn't notice my post
But the camera when i go down changing to the direction of the merc that killed me would be awesome then allow the look around to see what threats could be there for the logistics that should be coming to pick you up. |

I second this! Study the way Bleed-outs were done in MAG. It was perfect! Well.. almost. Just don't let the bleed-out button be Jump. lol
The reason Mag's system worked so well is because when you die, you can pan around looking for a medic. Once spotted, you can use your own Voice to call him over because any player within 10 feet of eachother can Hear eachother talk.
Maybe there should be a skill for longer bleed-outs. That would be very useful. |

I play as a medic and when I try and go revive someone they don't wait two seconds before I head in their direction. I say I'm commin over the mic, but how many people use the mic.... A different color icon on the map so It identifies me as a medic, or something... |

Definitely. Mag's system was great. being able to say I need a medic and KNOW that that one is coming or being able to see one coming by panning the camera made a huge difference. right now no one's really waiting for a medic in dust because they simply don't know if your coming. |

You do get a warning to indicate if a team mate with an injector is near by. |

I'm really against any kind of camera movement or ability to see surrounding areas, as this can be used as a information gathering tool.
Also if something like what Wheres-my MONEY-Skank proposed would be used to block this ability to relay information, all it does is create more problems. Since some players would be using DUST comms to communicate and some would use out-of-game communication platforms(TS3, ventrilo, C3, Mumble). Now I have used them, since my Playstation audio feed goes to my PC and from there to mic and Mumble.
Most suitable solution would be to give unique symbol to those with naniteinjectors. So that player in bleedout state could see if help is coming your way. |

Idea: Perhaps an alternative to a moving camera would be to pull everything off radar except teammates with medic supplies. Then you could not gather information about killer location, but could make an informed decision as to wether or not to respawn.

Killzone 3 had a different icon (like the chevrons we have now) on screen edge for medic, and listed distance.
Also, not make nanite injector a item to scroll through. Just make prompt if one is in fit to hit action button to revive, instead of switch weapon to nanite injector and push fire to revive. This would remove gratuitous complication for new players to figure out how to revive people.
Maybe let head move but not body, so area that can be viewed is narrower? |

If the system resembles MAG it will be perfect.
Also I would love to see a symbol on the mini map of people who are down! So I can run to them and pick them up. |

definitely.. you'd save equipment, keep the pressure on the enemy, and won't have to wait to respawn. win/win. I hope they'll implement this. ccp's working on a bleed out timer right now. hoping we get camera rotate and medic symbols at the same time. |

The only thing I say to this is you shouldn't be able to look 360 behind you, Only have a 180 way of looking around, or smaller to keep it realistic. Like if you have ever play Star Wars Republic Commando, when your down you can only look around a little bit to see whats around you. |

Well, in real life, usually if anyone has been shot, they can look all directions depending on the pain of their injury lol
You know what would work?? I got it! Let us be able to look around almost totally but have it be first person view so that not too much is seen.
Edit: As a matter of fact, wouldn't it be awesome if one day some FPS would put interesting gameplay mechanics like say: Depending on where you were shot is how it affected how you could be revived
- HEadshot: Cannot revive ( 0 second bleedout time )
- Arms and/or Legs: first person view able to rotate almost complete 360 in bleedout mode ( 20 second bleedout time )
- Torso: first person view only able to rotate 180 degrees ( 15 second bleedout time )
Little details like this is what I'm hoping the future of gaming has in store for us |
