So I noticed that the Scout's Drop Suit has a Shield Regen of 40, and the Assault 15.
Why not give the Armor Rep a Buff for the heavy suit. Make the boost for heavies. So his armor repairs by 10HP per sec or a more suitable number.
Because honestly having 600 HP armor is useless once it gets whittled down by a scout. How will you reach back to your full health at the rate of 2/HP per second by default. It will take forever on your own.
Now before we all start screaming WHAT ABOUT DA LOGI BRO?!?! He will still have his place on the battle field. Right now the heavy is a large target. I do realize the advanced, and proto heavies have an ungodly amount of HP. So in exchange for the armor rep buff for the dropsuit, the heavy will recieve a slight HP Nerf. So essentially you will use a heavy to armor tank because it has the highest armor regen of the three classes. It won't be insanely fast as the shield regen of a scout, but it will make the heavy a bit more effective. Thoughts?

I thought Advanced and Proto suits already lost their HP advantage. Otherwise, totally agree. |

I think this should be the skill attached to the heavy suit itself. It should not only increase the effectiveness of armor repair modules but also remote repairs from friendly logis |

I think the point is Heavy, while it shouldnt be a tank, it should be able to last 5 seconds without a logi. Heavy's should be able to come out of most 1v1 engaments with ease. Right now they are "What's that running at me? OH **** A SCOUT!!! IM GONNA ******* DIE!!!" unless they have a logibro on them. |

That won't change if you give them 3000 hp, you can't hit them, working as intended. |

That is partially due to a hit detection problem. But im not talking about turn speed. Im talking about Heavy's HP recovery rate, if heavy's got a default armor repair rate it would increase their survivability. Either that or returning the HMG to replication levels would suffice. |

No. The heavy is a PoS as a lone wolf, and it should be that way. A heavy plus logi combo is a force to be reckoned with. |

I'm in agreement, the Heavy should remain a niche role, the only problem I see with the heavy now is the heavy specific weapons aren't sufficient to fulfill the roles they have one the battlefield IE anti-vehicular and infantry mulcher. |

Think about what you just said. A lone Heavy should be easier to kill than a lone assault. That makes no sense to me. To me, in CQC a heavy should be able to easily dispatch an assault or a scout if they can track them, currently this is not the case. I think heavies either need HP buffed or DPS buffed. I think Replication's DPS heavies were the best heavies. if you were long range away from a heavy, pop a few head shots and they were a piece of cake. Mid range? Might want to get to cover. Close Range? Your ******.
That is how I see the heavy. Deadly if you're in their kill zone, Outside of it and you could easily avoid or waste them. |

I see what you are saying, but you are still f*cked if you get close to a heavy, the only reason it doesn't seem that way is because the scout suit is an unbalanced invincibility suit at the moment. At medium range, there still needs to be a bit of tweaking but hey, it's beta. Basically what I meant by my first comment is that the heavy needs a mate with him so he can be the best he can be, as it should be with ALL suits. |

IGÇÖm always with my squad. I run scout/assault. DonGÇÖt assume IGÇÖm a heavy player that wants to lone wolf. Or that IGÇÖm suggesting GÇ£please make the heavy a super unkillable tank dropsuitGÇ¥
All the other classes get a lone wolf capability, except the heavy. He is slow, cumbersome, and has no equipment slot. I dance around them and leave them crippled with little to no hp. If they hit me in my scout suit? No problem, IGÇÖm back to full shields in a few seconds to finish him. While the heavy is there standing helpless. An HP Rep Buff for the Heavy Suit would help balance this weakness.
I understand the Logi/Heavy combo is deadly, but I donGÇÖt think the Heavy should be required to have a Logi Bro Crutch. All the other classes are independent except the heavy.
You should be able to tell a heavy GÇ£ Hey go take out that HAV/LAV/Drop Ship, and we will stay here to protect the letterGÇ¥ You canGÇÖt do that currently, if he requires a Logi Bro to baby sit him.
The logistics class was made for maintenance for all battle field installations, vehicles, and infantry. Not to be the baby sitter of the heavy alone. The logistics is a supplemental class, not a crutch for the heavy.

Only assaults and scouts have any effective lone-wolfing capabilities, and assaults are vastly more effective as part of a squad. When we get more capabilities, such as eWar, I bet we'll be seeing more squad roles for scouts, too.
CCP makes team games. Everyone having glaring flaws that make them easy to take advantage of is by design. Squad up. |

Part of the issue is the fact that the only Heavy suit we have is Amarrian, a faction that specializes in super-heavy armor buffer-tanks. I think once we have Caldari Heavies, for instance, things will start to seem a lot more balanced. |

I think the armor rep modules rep at a much too slow rate. It would literally take all game to rep your armor if almost depleted at 2/HP per sec. This is coming from a Scout. Just increase the module itself to do more rep per tick and problem should solve itself. Increase the CPU cost if needed as Heavies tend to have CPU to spare, thus making sure the module is not overly abused by Scouts and Assualts. |

When there is a passive bonus from amarr heavy skill, some will have rep bonus, some more damage, some damage resistance, ect... We will have multiple heavies at each tier someday, looking forward to that day.
The nerf to adv, proto hp hits heavy hardest, they get the fewest additional slots. I would support the heavy adv and proto getting there larger buffer back, while other suits keep the nerf.
Also, a type-iii heavy with a light instead of heavy weapon slot and a equipment slot would be nice, kinda a extra armoured but slow assault suit. Shouldn't have both heavy weapon and equipment slot though.
I played heavy and hav some last build, just scout and logi this build. The hit detection needs fixed, the speed and scout hit box can't be balanced till hit detection is right. |
