Although those numbers are preliminary until the results of the final Sunday Matches are verified, it has already been acknowledged that Crux actually won 8 matches, bringing the total Gallente victories to 28, which is 1 win greater than 50%.
In other words, Gallente won over Caldari. |

It had better be awarded to both, because only one of two situations occurred over this weekend.
Either:
1) Minmatar was greater than it's opponent and destroyed the Amar, but equal to or weaker than Gallente, who did not have as many wins against a near equally powerful opponent.
Or:
2) Minmatar was greater than everyone.
However, this event did not provide any test to determine which of these two is true. Without a series of battles between Minmatar and Gallente there is no way to accurately determine which of the two victors is indeed the better team. |

If that were the case, two of the Minmatar Corporations would be awarded it for having perfect winning streaks, and the same issue arises that they never fought against the corporations from Gallente and Caldari with the most wins. |

Unfortunately, that says "the fight" for the 1,000,000s, suggesting winners and losers.
And the Dev thread about the Corporation Battles seems to agree:
"Rewards: A chance to win 1 million ISK and 1 million skill points!" |
