After the servers started running 23/7 I decided to see if it would allow me to connect to the servers (I have not purchased the Merc Pack). I made it past the normal "You do not have access...." screen and chose my character but then I was not able to open the chat or neocom afterwards bascially turning the game into a dynamic screensaver that takes forever to load. I sent an email to support and they said to redownload the client. I went to the PSN store and saw that there was a client that was available to only PSN Plus members. Do I need to use that client (and therefore buy PSN Plus) to play or will a redownload of the Mordu's Private Trials client still work? |

I had to redownload the client last week too. I don't have a PSN+ subscription so I just redownloaded the Mordus Private Trial thingy whatever it was called (I think its just called DUST514 beta). I didn't find it in the PSN Store so I went to my downloads list and started the download from there. It took forever to download and patch again but it worked for me. |

I'm assuming you're like me and were just doing the beta weekends. Go to the PS Home lounge, get the beta code there, then re-download and patch everything. Takes forever but then you can start playing again. |

I redownloaded and patched the game and I still have the same issue. My issue was that when the game loaded and I chose my character the game went to the screen that showed a bunch of ships flying toward a planet and at the bottom of the screen it says: Select (Chat) and Start (Neocom). It also has those 4 boxes on the right side for chat and other things. Neither the start nor select button do anything when I hit them (yes, my controller is turned on). The only thing I can do at the point is hit the PS button to quit the game. |

Oh, right, forgot to tell you but I also deleted the game before re-installing. I had the exact same frozen screen with the dropships and the Select and Start buttons on the bottom and the Chat options on the right.
So I deleted, got the code from PS Home then downloaded and patched everything all over again. It's more than 2 gigs so it'll take you a while but that's what worked for me. |

I deleted the game beforehand as well although I did not re-enter the code to get the download, I looked in my list of downloads for the one I needed. I don't see how that could cause a problem but since it's not working anyway I guess tomorrow I will delete it again and try the code method. |

I'm not sure if old codes are still valid but when I went to the PS Home lounge there was a new one waiting for me. I used that new code to download the client and everything was working fine. Well, actually this build is quite buggy with the connection issues but you know what I mean. Hope this works for you. |

I'm not sure. Did you play just the one game of single player Slay? You don't even need to win, I've lost on like 8 different maps (I was playing for real too). Anyway there would always be a different code each beta weekend when I went there, just like for this new build. Actually I write the codes on the back of the same envelope that's on my coffee table, this latest release has me up to four. |

Did you buy the Merc Pack? I have gone back to the lounge every week, played a game of slay (sometimes multiple) and checked if there was a new code. It has never changed from the original one they posted. I still have no idea what to do but I guess I'll just wait until the game is fully released so I don't have to deal with this. It's a great game but not worth this trouble. |

I did email them and all they said to do was re-download the client or buy the merc pack. I'm not paying for a game that I can get for free if I just wait and I've re-downloaded it two times now so they weren't exactly helpful. I'll probably email again though and see if they have figured anything else out since then. |
