noob tanks that have just skilled into it and have no clue about support skills.
you go against a gunlogi and see what a full salvo from a swarm launcher does to the shields. you'll be lucky if it takes 10-15% |

i'll come back to the same old argument people are being rewarded with more skillpoints for kills. do you or CCP expect the majority of players to skill into tanks or AV? answer the question honestly.

STB-LURCHASAURUS EV wrote:mobius, your off your rocker. everyone should be able to one shot my fully fitted, 10 mil sp marauder with their free militia swarm launcher.
sidenote, you should really stop leaving servers when you get shot in the face. K/D doesnt mean your any good you know. nice armor skills very noticable over the average joe. that heavy machine gun your using might be of use next patch. |

Tanks are a possibility when going into a match. When any nation's army deploys in the real world, there's a chance the enemy will have tanks, so they bring anti-tank weapons with them. Why do you think LAWs exist? Nothing says you have to spec into tanks or AV, but if you refuse to do either, you'd better make sure someone on your team did. The fact is that there isn't a trusty rocket launcher sitting in it's usual spawn near the center of the map that you can use on that pesky tank and kill it with one or two hits. That works in other games, but not here.
simple answer please will people skill into tanks or AV the way players are being rewarded now. you know the answer and are just sidesteping it for personal reasons.
CCP have a poor reward system as it is now is all i'm saying and i think they know it. They as devs have a duty to "force" players into playing this game a certain way, without the majority of them knowing that it's even happening. It's not going to happen when they bias the reward system the way it is at the moment. |

They ruin the game as they are.
I spec'd tanks this build and Its been almost boring. No risk massive rewards.
whats worring is that they seem to be getting through to certain devs look at the IRC thread.
thank you for an honest answer. i knew it too the first time i sat in the gunner seat in one of them remote rep gangs. |

Part of that perceived bias is a direct result of unlimited ammunition for vehicles, which I have opposed since I got into this beta, and I would imagine will be on it's way out before too long. Also, I think you'll find that people like xprotoman23 manage to make just as much SP running and gunning, so it really all depends on what fits your play style. I can pretty much guarantee that fast-tracking into HAVs is going to be a lot less rewarding once you can't just spam your weapons everywhere with reckless abandon.
yeah well tanks are not the only thing thats overpowered just that most people havent worked it out yet. and at least it takes some skill to do what he does. |

all we the ones that want to see dust become a tripple A title can do is give feedback if it falls on deaf ears so be it. they could be doing it just for number collecting purposes, we can only hope. after all ours is just an opinion whos to say its right.
mind you when i think about it do i want dust to be like the other triple AAA pander to the braindead zombie keep killing faster crowd. hell no but i bet they would make more money sadly. |
