Quote:Once you have created your fleet, other pilots will want to join it. To facilitate others joining your fleet, setup an advertisement by going to the Fleet Finder tab, then the My Adverts tab and finally clicking on the Create Advert button.
Advertising your fleet is the only way to allow people to join it automatically. Manual invites will have to be sent if you do not advertise your fleet. The advertisement also allows fleet commanders to edit various aspects of who can join the fleet, whether the criteria is based on standings of the fleet commander, standing of the individual pilot's security status, or limited to your alliance or corporation.
There are also two other options you can select for improved security in your fleet. The first one is "Requires approval"; this means you will have to manually approve every person who tries to join your fleet.
From: http://wiki.eveonline.com/en/wiki/Fleet_options
Being able to do this would be amazing instead of always manually having to invite everytime, if someone drops out it'll show, to the right people, that you have a opening.
Also, some Contact options, at least for beta 0, +5, +10, so we can put the join by standings. |

Patches The Hyena wrote:That is such a useful feature in EVE. So handy to just drop the join link in corp chat and watch the fleet fill up. Hopefully this makes it to Dust
I'm hopefully things like this will make it in. Making the player more able to handle his own business (restocking and uping skills) while the players wanting a squad can look for a squad they would like to be apart of.

Hopefully we see groups start going with the new build, even if it's the 6 people they stated squads would be.
Adverts would start to help out once corps start going and instead of trying to ask which groups have a spot you could see the status of the squad.
In battle or in MQ Full vs how many open spots
Things like that would help keep the squads possible to manage and q sync untill teams of squads can start queueing together. |

Steps to make squad if Adverts are in.
Leader, makes a squad, then puts up advert
members join from "available squads" menu.
^ alot easier then having to load contacts every time |

It would never be spammed..?
Have you seen EVE's Fleet adverts before?
It would give another Neocom menu to search for open squads and you could see what squads are available to you.
Also, bumping cause REALLY need this instead of trying Voice in CORP with more then 16 people in comms...
"Who needs squad?" 8 people say, "Me" >.>
And most consule players wont know what "xing up" in chat means
nubs... |
