Greetings,
In the last build CCP had 3 Skirmish servers and 9 ambush servers. During US Peak, it was not uncommon for the EU Skirmish server to have more battles than all of the ambush servers combined. Also during this time frame, it was not uncommon for the Asia Skirmish server to have more players than all of the ambush servers combined. This should have told CCP something, but either they chose not to listen to it or they chose to interpret it differently than their customers intended.
Why do I say this, it is very simple... CCP had 9 AMBUSH SERVERS and now roughly 80% of all "instant battles" are ambush, even though there were many people asking CCP to give them more skirmish maps / battles. |

I'm sure their workin it boss give them some time, coding doesn't happen over night especially when you have bugs all over your trying to work out. |

Ever think that maybe they are trying to fix things that the small ambush battles showcase more readily than the large maps? Or maybe it provides them with more data, more quickly? They never promised to listen and make changes as we demand. We agreed to their terms, not the other way around. So, relax. None of us know what the programmers are dealing with, what they're doing behind the scenes, or what best helps them produce and track down bugs. Maybe terrible servers is part of their method. Who knows. Accept it for what it is,a BETA. Provide *constructive* feedback about *actual* bugs if you really want to help improve the game.

Normally the build that we're playing on is a full build or two behind the newest one. I'm sure they have already fixed most if not all the bugs in 1.9 and it's in or close to being in QA now. I bet it took only a few days for them to compile all of the defects we reported and they were hard at work on them immediately.
They're probably already developing for v2.0. |

Changing the ratio is probably nothing more than a setting in a config file or a python source file, and should be possible to change in 30 seconds max during DT. |

Bug, beta tester believes that if they throw enough tantrums they will get someone to make the game according to their own personal whims. |

As previously mentioned - beta. We play and test ambush now because it is what they want or need us to test. So get your testing suit on and get to it so we can move past this phase and into more interesting battles.
And what is with all these people posting in the bug forum things that clearly aren't bugs. Really? It makes it seem like you want what you want right now and to heck with the game and anyone else. Who cares if testing something makes for a better game, I want to do what I want to do now! |
