I've noticed no vehicle seems to make use of the square key. I submit that this should be used as a special push-to-talk for vehicle intercomms. While holding down square the driver of the vehicle can issue commands that can be heard by their passengers, regardless of squad, as long as they have comms.

I'm a dropship pilot, and when we start seeing more teamwork I imagine I'll be functioning not just as a poor-man's gunship but also as an air transport. My squad is going to consist of me and my gunners or me and my wingmen if I'm just using the people I'm carrying as gunners. My passengers won't be able to hear me, nor should they. They don't care about what us pilots are strategising. But I need to be able to tell them when to bail, or when we can expect resistance, or any number of other things they may need to know. I'm sure HAV drivers, LAV drivers, and drivers of any other vehicles we may get in the future, will also benefit from this capability.

To be honst 8i read the title and thought great anouther thread to shoot down but this actually makes since especially for dropships.

A dropship contains enough slots to transport 6 people including gunners. A squad currently only allows 4 players so pilot 2 gunners leaves 1 slot for passenger sorry just dont work not to mention ull be transporting other squads so getting everyone on team comms and still have th possibility of calling in a pilot will be tough.

For this veihicle intercoms is a great idea and it be sepreate from the other comms.

Also if we can find somesort of hotkey pickup broadcasting system that also help but that be a bit harder

I like the idea, I want to say to the driver of the LAV I'm gunning for "I can't exactly aim well when you try humping a wall" or when I'm flying my dropship "let off R1, it just makes people think we're a threat before we actually prove we are one"

I've been wanting something like this for a while. Red Orchestra has a vehicle comm channel like that.

This is a great idea even when squads get large enough to fill a dropship. I am currently of the opinion that the most strategic roll of a dropship is infantry transport and that means moving other squads and mixed portions of other squads around the map and pilots need this to do it effectively.

As a future DS pilot, this would go a LONG way to helping to coordinate ships.

Love this idea, gunners on drop ships and additional PAX in a tank or LAV should be able to call out targets. If this is going to be a teams game, we need teams coms. Like, MAG for instance... Only squad leaders and above can call the CO or PSG.
