I feel like Merc Headquarters, if they serve nothing else than immersion, are a bit redundant.
I can access the menu simply by pressing "Start", so I see no point in having headquarters just to "walk around". It's just more stuff to load.
I'd rather have a nice menu interface that loads quickly and manage my activities there.
Thoughts ? |

The merc quarters right now are just a test kinda thing, upon release the two doors in the MQ will open up to the whole war barge where we will be able to interact with fellow mercs. There is the mcc staging area, trophy rooms, hang out rooms, rentable apartments etc etc etc. The merc quarters are pretty pointless at this point, but as soon as you see green lights above the doors.......that will change |

The merc quaters as it is now is pointless but it serves as a stepping stone for long term eve to dust conection for walking around stations so i think we can suffer it for a cause like that. |

Ah GÇö thank you, I didn't know.
But maybe we should have an option to load the HQ or not in between battles...I'm in favor of the whole immersion thing, but I'm also in favor of getting back in battle quickly :) |

Dude! The merc quarters IS on the war barge, that's why when you select a battle you go to the war room, the war room is also on the war barge also. the war barge is what is in orbit, hence seeing the planet out the window. The war barge is where you MQ is, also where the mcc is housed. Everything is on the war barge. what do you think a war barge is? Its a big ship/station |

Your wrong. if you look behind you in a public lobby there is a door that leads straight directly from your room. They're all in the same warbarge and Im thinking that you will be able to invite friends in the lobby for a private lobby. |

And eve side it shows you guys as being docked in stations and each corp is seperated into various systems by what corp are in. Why they did it that way who knows. It also means that anyone in local will always be in your corp or an eve pilot that is in that system. It could be an anti-lag setup...or maybe they don't want the various corps mixing. If you check your starmap in quarters it will always show that you are stain. If you check the starmap on the barge's war room when you go into it before a match it shows you are in E-RPGP. |
