It seems like corp battles have been thrown out there to "satisfy" the player base but personally I would rather see CCP fixing the gameplay mechanics rather than doing corp battles and fixing the graphics in my headquarters Hit detection - Yes it is a beta but hit detection is very inconsistent. When enemies run sideways it is near impossible to get kills from mid range.
Landscape - Whoever designed the maps seemed to be thinking "Let's make this hard for the player to move around!". Please make the maps more player friendly to move around in. I shouldn't get stuck running up a hill that is basically flat.
Smoothness - Alright please read the entire thing before QQing. When I say please make the gameplay more like other mainstream FPSs, I am not trying to make this into another CoD. Now ask yourself, "Why do I hate on CoD so much?" From what I can tell from these forums and my own personal opinion, many of us hate the whiny, 12 year old gaming community and the bland repeating game modes where you go in shoot some dudes and there are no real consequences other than stats. DUST tries to fix these by aiming towards a more hardcore community and also makes the games actually mean something.
Cool, but CCP seems to have lost the smoothness of FPSs in the process. Yes hit detection and lag are both factors (and yes this is a beta, I realize that) but everything about DUST just feels slugish. Now stop and think for a minute what DUST would be like if it played like CoD/MAG/KZ/BF from a mechanics stand point. Everything would feel more fluid and I think it would enhance gameplay. Also remember that CCP isn't experienced in the FPS genre so I don't blame them for having a sub-par FPS but don't be QQing and crying that the game is fine the way it is because it's far from perfect. Mini-Map - Is it just me or does the mini map on the HUD seem off scale? I think the player indicators are just too big. It's hard to distinguish whether an enemy is 5yds away or 15. The indicator for one player is as large as some of the small buildings on the map :p
Aside from the usual bugs and stuff, the one thing that has always annoyed me,but is really wearing me down now,is the graphical choppiness, and missing frames that seem to drop out of the animation of the game the second that I start shooting at someone.
I'm really hoping that in the next build we see vast improvements on the overall gameplay mechanics, and a smoother experience,I'm not necessarily saying that the game should be running at 60 frames per second, but the constant skipping and choppiness needs to be rectified soonish.

When the thing falls apart, and you can't join games, servers are 'full', hard freezes and whatnot, all these new features won't do you any good. I'm hoping things get fixed with the september build because right now it's unplayable/untestable, at least for me, some people don't seem to be having any problems.
I hate to say it,but i have to agree with this.I've been playing since the PS Home beta keys were first given out,and this build that has more maps and weapons and stuff, seems to be the most unplayable so far.
I got into a match on Thursday and immediately froze.Got into a match last night, and froze about 2 minute into a match, and froze hard.Had to completely unplug my console.Sorry, but at this point,I'd rather not play than give this beta a chance to do irreparable damage to my console.
Hard to test this beta at the moment for me.The last build was much more stable.

Don't know what others mean when they say "smooth",but what I mean is when the game freezes for a split second every 30 to 40 seconds,or when you start shooting at someone, and if freezes.I also call it frame drops, when it seems that it skips a frame in the animation of the game. |

If that's all then who cares? These things get resolved invariably when the developers get time.
Who cares?!
I know that it's still a work in progress, and I'll treat it as such, but one thing that can not be tolerated in an online shooter for it to survive is bad connectivity and lag.
Just look what happened to Brink in it's first week out of the gate.Terrible skipping and rubberbanding, and the game never recovered, even after they patched it.
I'm looking for a more than noticeable improvement in the framerate issues in the next build.
