When using the basic sniper rifle, the recoil is so high that it's impossible to tell how far "off" the shot was and it which direction. It makes using the rifle extremely difficult.
Perhaps reducing the recoil and adding some sort of bullet impact around the target to assist in knowing elevation, etc. would be beneficial - assuming that the projectile travels with some degree of response to gravity. Further, it was difficult to tell if a hit was being scored and injuring the target. |

Aim directly at the enemy. The sniper tech allows for this as the projectile flies at 2500m/s - the average "long" shot(300 m) will hit in about 1/10th of a second and drop less than a centimeter. You will sometimes need to lag lead if they're moving but this should be fixed with hit detection. |

Is there a degree of inaccuracy with the militia rifle? I've always felt there was but never bothered using it enough to be sure. Anyway, if there is scatter then where the shot went is irrelevant. Simply place the reticule over the target and fire again. The shot, as mentioned, is instantaneous and does not drop.
As for sharpshooter, the rifles seem to have a range of around 500 m by default. Maybe the tactical rifles shoot farther, I'm not sure. But being out-of-range is something that won't happen unless you're shooting very long distances, and you can tell if you're out of range because your reticule will not turn red when placed on the target (although you will still "illuminate" them, red arrow and all). |

I've noticed the strange hit detection with the rifles too, sometimes even when firing at centre mass on a stationary target i get no hit even though i see their shields flare.
Scopes could do with some kind of variable zoom or something, the rifles don't have a good enough zoom.
I've noticed also, if being hit by an assault rifle your aim jumps and stays high quite alot.
Assault rifles seem to be able to hit at the same distance as the rifles on some maps meaning using a sniper is redundant.
I really want the Sniper class to be worth using in this game, pI hope these issues are looked into. |

Yeah, my experience with it is limited (on account of it sucking) so I think it was just worse hit detection last build. |

I find the milita one of the best rifles for isk to proformance ratio. Rarely do I feel a need to grab the NT and with even three ranks in sniper skill its quite manageable. The only difference between it and the STD SR is some cpu |

Yeah...but the 3 round mag is to little for me...constant reloading...I prefer the standard rifle. |
