During the frustrating attempts to get in the North America Corp vs Corp battles, I lost my account while posting about feedback about the Corp vs Corp battles. I don't care about the problems anymore, I just want to know if its possible to get my actual character back with their SP/ISK. I think I already know the answer & am fearing it, especially since there's currently a lot of other problems with this game. Just to be safe, when I created this account so I could actually make a post I specifically didn't take the name of my previous character. Hoping a dev can use their Dev magic to make my character magically reappear. Otherwise I think I'll take a break until the next build goes into effect if losing a character can come so easily in this one. The one exception will be for contests that offer special gear. |

To be more specific I lost my account in mid-post, was prevented from submitting my post because I was told that I didn't have an account & had to create an account just so I could submit the post I was working on before I lost my account. I was simultaneous working on my post while I was forced to restart my game due to my character freezing in my personal quarters. I noticed my character was gone before I submitted my post. I disconnected my PS3 power & then turned my PS3 back on reentered DUST 514 & confirmed my character was gone. Submitted my post & was denied due to not having an account & had to create a new DUST character account to submit the post. |

I was posting feedback on the official sticky for Corp vs Corp battles about not being able to playing in it while actively & consitently trying to get in it, as if not getting in was the worst thing possible. How wrong I was. The series of problems that I experienced before losing my account were:
-Being prevented from connecting to an active game -Being disconnected from an active game before being allowed to spawn -Being forced to quit due to all dropsuit fittings being INVALID -Being frozen in my personal quarters with the "select" button function being the only functioning action -Being told the game's server can't connect to PSN while my connection to the PSN is perfectly fine.
I should have just calmed down, turned off my PS3, & enjoyed something else. Instead I continued letting my frustrations continously recyle back into itselt. Wasn't worth it. |

Does anyone know if account recovery is even possible in this game, especially since it so easy for an account to be removed. I've been looking around on the forums & read that EVE requres about 8-12 hours for an account to be irreversibly deleted. If something like that is avaialbe on DUST 514 then I hope a dev would implement that for my character. If account removal is instant & irreversible why would CCP not carryover a safey feature from the major game EVE to incorporate in DUST 514? Are the same people that worked on EVE actually working on DUST 514 or is it just the same company name in name only? |
