my AV fit in a dragonfly scout suit costs 50K, never died 3 times in same match in it , but tbh if I did I wouldn't spawn again in it - I'd switch to a subprime fit and I suspect most AV players would operate in the same vein.
I can't attest for the average lifespan of a tank but I doubt it's over 10 matches - yes, I know the better players will last much longer but fair play to them if that's the case.
So, if I field 3 of my AV fits in 10 matches in a row that would cost 1.5m isk. Not that I would but for the purposes of the post....
A decent tank has got to cost, what, 2mil ish ?
We AV just need to group up in larger numbers - My last match tonight, I partnered with A N Other AV guy - layed down all my advanced SL ammo and advanced AV grenades on a madragar, using up 2 nanohives in the process. Most of my shots hit, I did not die once - He was pretty poor admittidly - Think we got him down to 1/3 armor twice during the match. It's gonna take more manpower now more than ever.
Now, i dont mean to be rude as i dont know your AV fit, but at 50k each , that isnt really a "good" fit. A good fit, would be using adv DS at least, and a adv/proto swarm & smg, along w/ mods. That is a "good" fit that ud need to compare to a good tank. With that u can assume the same 3 deaths if u want, and that will be costing u close to 250k per game, and if do that 10 games ina row.. yeah being a good AV fit can definitely be WAY more costly then a AV assuming it survives 10 game like in yout example |

That is, true, didnt feel neede to that in depth (though should of), as the tanker is more likely to make his isk back in that time, where the AV is most likely to be quite in debt unless he wins a game or destroys a tank or two or 3 |

Advanced AV grenade Militia Nanohive. I keep the shield extender as opposed to weapon modifier as I treat the AV side of it as situational even though I field one as soon as I see enemy vehicles on the map. I consider that fit fairly good and better than most randoms on the field considering I'm just breaking 4m SP. That advanced dropsuit doesn't look that good these days anyway so I'll not be going that route until we can sell salvage or transfer isk.
I cant compare to m6 AV this build as i havent concerned myself with it, as working on core skills ; but i can say what my moderate build was last build, granted may be more $$$ now, but it was (this off top of head so cpu/pg stuff may be off)
Type II assault suit Adv SL Adv breach smg Complex shield extender Com or adv damage mod Nano Mil Armor rep Mil cpu (or plates, idk off hand)
Granted this build now is quite a bit more $$, but it held up again most tanks last build except a high build suryas and sag's |

NEGA LEAVESEY wrote:Ah, thought we were talking scout suits. Thats a better fit for damage and survivability if you discount the speed tank, oh and a few million sp down the line too, thanks to x4 SP speed last build. Lets play fair it's only been 2 weeks
Either way, i could run that buld right now if i didnt put into AR like i did, i could swap those points to SL for arguments sake, so essentially i could run that same build right now, so my fit stands... even if i were to use an adv scout suit |
