Ok so skinweave gear is the same strength as militia gear. Now this makes it basically just a paint job, for the free suit to show off your betaness. But if that's the case why not either,
A.make them as strong as the suits to gave to paying customers.
B.Introduce a real suit paint system. Let me wear the skinweave suit paint on my protosuit.
Something anything, or else this suits are just going to sit away never to be shown off. I say because I assume other pay for money BPO suits are going to be stronger than them too. Just, make it, paintjobs. Even the dragonfly skin, don't make it a bpo that makes it feel pay to win, just let us use these skins to show off our beta status in years to come like any competent mmo!

i have stuff on my EvE account that you cant get now. In a few years when noone has any of them items (are they one time use only or just a permant skin?) someone will pay you a lot of isk for that item. |

When you set your default suit in the suit fitting screen, that's the one it shows off to everyone in the lobby. I have a feeling that's all they're for. Showing off in the lobby.
I was always hoping they would have a "paint" slot in the fitting screen, but CCP is doing the same thing in Eve, special paint jobs are entire new ships, so if the stats suck, tough luck. It's really counter-intuitive to why someone would want a custom paint-job.

I agree with you guys but am i the only one that sees the irony of wanting to customise your clone when hes just clone #1125467? Lets just say this was reality for a second.. would you really care what you looked like after the 1000th transfer into another meat sack? One that will surely be only good for a couple battles..if that.

but they do something. They won't get replaced by better stuff people can buy with money. Just saying the beta rewards should be on par with what paying customers get or we'll never see these suits on the battlefield. which is a shame. |

I was a little bit disappointed that the skinweave scout is just a less garish dragonfly suit -1 high powered slot. I didn't expect it to be better but as it goes it's never gonna get used |

Actually, I use the dragonfly scout suit all the time since the last patch. Scout suit doesn't have anything to do with how good a sniper you are. I'm pretty good though not the best by any means. My best match so far was 18/2 and my k/d is 2.09. If the suit is a bpo why would you think it would be anything except militia gear. Surely you don't want an unfair advantage over anyone else in the game? |

Weither they should have been more like the Dragonfly or not,..
From what i can gatter from the blurb on the suits, they are just the prototypes of the milita suits,
if that means anything to anybody...

The dragonfly is a better scout suit than the Skinweave IMO
It has another slot on the right!
that said I will use these instead of my militia suits.
I got the Scout, Assault and Logistics. I am Gallente Toon. Does this mean differnet Races get a different assortment? |

So people wanted 'vanity' suits/gear that showed they were in the beta, now we HAVE said vanity suits and people aren't happy!

no, no, i should be stronger when I level up to prototype logi suits. But I should still be able to use the skinweave look on any suit. Come on, this is how Lol does it. it works, people think it's fun to buy skins. |

I aree with this.
Selling suits for AUR is going to go nowhere and making proto BPO's is a bad idea.
Selling texture packs, blank skins, coloring kits, etc for skinning your existing suits would be much more profitable in the long run. |
