Will the corps be the same or will we have corps in each. I see Dust clans saying they have ties in EVE yet none really say who or what. Is this all part of the cloak & dagger that many say EVE has?
Can a merc not join a corp? Can a merc just take contracts as they see fit, fighting the battles/corps they want? or just a merc that really does fight for the higher ISK from this side or that?

Dust players will join corps with other Dusters, but I don't think EVE players and Dusters can join the same corps. Maybe Dust corps can join an alliance with EVE corps, then again that isn't clear.
Either way there will be many Dust corps affiliated with EVE alliances, though how they will root out spies from EVE who make Dust accounts isn't obvious at this point. |

EVE players can apply to join DUST corp and visa versa, you will be able to join which ever corp you want regardless if made by an eve or dust player, i mean, why wouldn't you?

Well for simplicities sake and ease of use of communication channels and such keeping EVE players in EVE corps and Dusters in Dust corps makes sense. Then allowing those Dust and EVE corps to enter alliances and arrangements together makes sense.
Just seems it will be simpler in application. Would get annoying as a Duster to be in corp chat arranging a squad for fights while EVE members are calling out enemy ships in sovereign space and organizing a defense. Just would get cluttered since the amount of interaction is limited and most of the regular chat that will go on is entirely specific to either game. |

Not it wouldn't because you don't do that sh*t in corp chat, you have fleet channel for that and if you talk sh*t in a fleet you get booted from the fleet if your trap doesn't stay shut ! In fleets you keep the channel and mouth clear and listen your FC, on your buddy roams you can do what you wan't but corp/ alliance fleets are a serious business.
Anyway they have already stated that dusters can be filtered from EVE channels (null bears whined that their handy intel tool would be nerfed if it was littered with dusties) and that dust and EVE players can share a same corp. |

Well Carl not everything happens in a fleet. Being in a Fleet on an OP isn't constant unless your alliance is in the middle of a huge war. So yes Corp chat is used quite often by guys gathering together to go pew pew or call out intruders in their space.
So I think it would be better to have purely Dust and EVE corps and let us join alliances together to mingle. Though you may be correct in how you say CCP will actually do it. |

In EVE, you are "born" in an NPC corporation. If you wish, you may stay in this NPC corporation forever, no risk of war declaration, and a default 13 - 15% taxation on everything you make. You are very limited in terms of all the game has to offer, but you can do the basic stuff and get money.
You may create a corporation for yourself, and set the taxes down to 0% (you get everything you make), you can put POSes online (if you have the required standings), you may wardec people, joint alliances and rent systems for yourself (or conquer them).
Or you may join a player corporation and get all the benefits of the game, with the risks that come with it.
In DUST, we are all in a NPC corp already, and in the future we-¦ll be able to create or join corporations, and get all the perks that come with it.
When someone makes a contract (the thing that makes you fight around), they-¦ll be able to set "who" is allowed to fight, and may restrict players from NPC corporations from joining the fight. All in all, it-¦s a good thing to join a player corp, after all, this is a MMO, not single player online.
A Corporation is a Corporation, doesnt matter if it-¦s in EVE or Dust. We are all New Eden inhabitants, no distiction if we are fighting in space or on the ground. |

Corp chat you mean "Intel Channel" that you keep open along with local so you can rat in peace with your faction ship or carrier/supercarrier right ?
People barely talk or write while making money in missions / ratting.
While i enjoyed talking to my corpmates in TS3 even if i wasnt playing EVE, i did it because i liked the topics and the chat, not because of game things. (Except operations, pvp and such, thats mandatory to have a talk channel) |

I would hope that Dust corps and Eve corps can join a single unified alliance, and use the alliance chat or whatever private channels they have as a means to communicate..
Due to taxation, and probably other considerations of corporations I am not thinking about, it is probably best to keep Dust Corps, Dust Corps and Eve Corps, Eve Corps. |
