Who do you think is developing this game, a bunch of high-school kids? It's by design that the mouse speed gets reduced while you are turning. I don't like it either, but there is indeed a reason why they made it the way it is. |

I guess that's one reason, the other one is that the different drop suits have all different turning speeds. A heavy turns very slow, while scouts turn (and move) much faster. The idea is that scouts can 'speed tank' by simply circling around a heavy. I doubt CCP will change this fundamental game play decision, but like I said, I don't like this speed cap either being a mouse user myself.

Xantanis wrote:My main thing is even with using the mouse controls they have with full sensitivity the turning rate is way too slow. I compared using the DS3 controller to my mouse in the same game, and was quite sad to find I could kill people much easier with the controller than my mouse. If anything this should be the other way around, or at least matched so they are even. The turn speeds are even. If you don't have a 2000+ dpi gaming mouse, you need to turn mouse smoothing off. Otherwise it will slow down your mouse sensitivity. |

What we need is an acceleration setting so that when you're aiming slowly the cursor is more accurate. I can't stand playing with the DS3 but from what I noticed it has a better balance in this regard that is easy getting used to. I realize that the game is not as aim heavy as FPS games I used to play, but it would still be great if some more love was given to the mouse settings.
Ideally, an acceleration setting for non-zoomed and the same for zoomed mode. It can even be relative speed (as in faster on a closer combat weapon, slower on a sniper), as long as you can tune it to your liking.
Totally agree. Mouse sensitivity while scoped in on most weapons is way to high, almost the same as when not scoped. On the other hand, sensitivity on the tactical AR scope is so low that you can't follow any target unless you set the sensitivity to maximum in the settings. Wich in turn makes it impossible again to use any other weapon while scoped in. I don't know if this is what CPP intended, but I hate it and I don't think it makes any sense. |
