A quick forum search would answer this to you, but yes... yes they will... They're not gonna let Beta veterans run around with 20 million SPs more than the others. |

Obviously. I have never heard of a developer allowing people to carry over data from a [beta] or [alpha] build. Especially for a game such as Dust514 it would be just unfair. We [beta] testers have enough of an advantage already. Some of the testers here have been here for five months and more actually. The knowlegde we have is going to be devastating as it is. As for the whipe it will happen. When? Unknown at the moment, but really I am hoping that CCP delays Dust514 till the end of the mid of the fourth quarter at a minimum. It needs more polish and work. This is not a negative I just care enough to say it needs it. The whole allowing coupon book subscribers to come into the [beta] proved that one this game does need more stability and work, and on a whole the majority are going to cry, complain and grief simply on the basis that this game compared to most is brutally hard. Have you seen the [beta] rating in-store? Says a lot to me. Says people do not know jack 5h!t. Then again they are only coupon bookers so really I suppose I was hoping for too much.
Anyway expect at the very least another wipe now and release with a wipe at release. You should always expect the unexpected or worst case scenario. Really it's not a big deal to me. |

CCP will give us something for being in the beta but its sure not gonna be a few million SP head start.
If CCP plans on really finishing the game before release expect 2 more builds, with wipes upon their release, and a final wipe before retail release. |

For free-to-play games it's not uncommon for there to be a wipe upon transitioning from closed beta to open beta, but no wipe afterwards. Either way, yeah, definitely more wipes ahead. |

I wonder what they will add on the next update. I mean, like weapons such as Lasers. And I wonder what's the dropsuit for Command and Pilot. |

Since new features will be added in expansions, with fixes and patches in between. The released game will be like an open beta. It may just be closed beta, wipe, release, fix bugs in expansions/patches as needed. EvE seemed to need update to new version about as often as the Dust beta has. |

Thanks for the [constructive] info. I had done a forum search but only turned up info on individuals needing Aurum refunds following wipes from previous builds. I am new to the game having just started playing when the beta was opened to Plus subscribers. CCP is really putting it out there with something different. I hope the game succeeds! |
