No weapon is overpowered, people just complain because they are fighting weapons on their turf. Shotguns, smg's and HMG's are designed for close range combat, they exell at it. So why are people so surprised when they are beaten at close range? Assault rifles are not meant to be wonder-weapons that win at all ranges. At the moment, they are the best at medium range and adequate at close range, and that's absolutely fine.
I have no problems with snipers either. They do reasonable damage at long range, and are much harder to use up close.
I'm not going to go much into anti vehicle in this topic, but forge guns need more range and swarms need to aim for the top of their targets, not the bottom.
Let me know what you think. |

I disagree, weapons can be overpowered. Two builds ago, for those of us who where here, Swarm launchers. No need for any weapon but a Swarm Launcher.
Im not saying that any paticular weapon right now is Overpowered but it can happen. |

I agree that it can happen, and i'm happy that it's better this build. Sadly I wasn't around two builds ago, but I heard about the swarms. It sounded bad. |

I say lower teir shotguns are a bit to good in performance. Some 'tweaks' are in order. Forge gun range longest confirmed hit is now 175 meters which is appauling short range still (a blaster turret can tear you apart before you can refire at that range) |

It was horrible >_<
Militia shotguns are too strong, considering I frequently get over 20 kills and under 5 deaths with it >_< |

Are they too strong? Or are you playing to its strengths against enemies that don't always think about positioning? A shotgun is meant to do massive damage at close range, if you can make it to close range, then your target has failed and should be at your mercy. He had a massive advantage till you got close, then the tables were turned. |

it also depends on how your setup is. if you are running complex damage modifiers and have all your damage skills turned up to lvl 5, you are going to kick some butt. when i run as a sniper, i run the charge (highest damage) combined with 3 complex damage modifiers (class A assult suit), and my damage skills are turned up as high as i can level them atm. so 250+hp for the rifle, 10%,8%,6% for the modifiers (i was told the stacking penalty for modifiers is 20% of the mod, i could be wrong ) and about 15-20% in skill boost = around 375hp per shot. almost as much as a anti personnel grenade's 400hp.
at least this is what i ran last build, since the wipe i haven't gotten back to this level yet . |

The shot gun should have spread bullets. The closer the target should get all the bullets, but in a distant should have less damage. It looks to me that it shoots like a one bullet rifle. |

It's funny. The shotgun was always this strong, but the slower SP rate and improved hit detection actually make it seem like an issue. |

I am rather enjoying this build. Being killed with various weapons is more enjoyable than everyone using the same thing.
Few upgrades I would humbly suggest to CCP and I am sure they have already fixed internally --- mind drive SMG damage needs to be reduced and the forge gun range needs to increase |

Let me know what you think. I agree, each weapon is effective at its own thing, ide like to bring tanks into this for a moment, I spent over 3 million sp getting my sagaris it costs nearly 2m isk and it was almost destroyed by 3 people, it doesn't matter how well someone builds their class, it's how we'll you use it, if ur heavy suit is destroyed by a militia logistics suit with a scrambler pistol it doesn't mean the scrambler pistol is overpowered it means they're good with it. |
