I just want to say that you can't communicate between the players in dust
for example: i need a medic and want to say to a guy that i need a medic... but i cant do it....
also things like
"need pickup"
"need ammo"
etc...
i think it can be implemented in dust because we already have the ability to set orders as squad leader...
so why don'T we make a comrose like in battlefield games

Problem with a comrose is that there are no more buttons left. The idea is neat as not everyone likes to talk over mic. Maybe we can add it in weapon select + L3 to open the comms menu. |

i personally think that the push to talk being left on the D-pad isnt all that good an idea.
you run with the left stick.....you either need to stop running to move your hand, or warp your hand to reach the button, compromising using the sights if you get a surprise enemy. perhaps using the left on the dpad, bringing up a little menu to navigate a number of options like "need ammo/medic/pickup" or whatever. for me that would make a nice amount of sense. i would certainly use it a lot more than push to talk. |

I think text chat should be on screen like most other fps instead of having to press select to check if anyone's said anything.
Should really get used to coms though I guess, pretty sure Eve players will be picky about it...? |

the selution for this issue !!!
1 the ptt button is overated, there's no need for it, i've played dust now for a little more then a week, and 100% of the time i'm in a squad we all leave our mic simply open for a fast reaction / reponse time (being in a tank squad its handy forthe gunners to notify targets such as swarmers or forgegunners)
2 replace the ptt button for a dropdown menu where people can call for a logic, get ammo, armor repairs, vehicle pickup, backup and whatsoever. |
