This right here is the mentality that is allowing tanks free roam over the field. All the FPS guys think in terms of kill counts, but that's not how it works in New Eden. You have to start thinking in terms of damage done. Kill 30 guys in their standard or militia infantry gear? Might do 200k in damage. Kill a single T1 HAV: 500k to a mil in damage. It's not that CCP had the wrong design philosophy, it's that the CoD fanboys haven't adjust to the EVE mentality. This is why I'm hoping they implement kill mails like we have for EVE. Nothing like taking someone down and saying "HA, that ship was worth 100m and I destroyed it!" If not I'm sure we'll see something to that extent in the end-of-match leaderboard. Warpoints earned, kill/death ratio, and damage done.
