or a Edited demolition derby?! Seriously, cut the Edited with the LAV's! I can understand maybe one or two throughout a game on one of the huge maps to be used for transportation but I am tired of every damn person on the map racing around in a glorified jeep! If you want to play a damn racing game GO BUY A RACING GAME! Current record for most LAV's on a SMALL map? 4!! And every single one spamming missile after missile after missile in every damn direction, even at teammates, and not ONE person in those vehicles hacked an objective. Get out, pick up a damn gun and fight like a merc! |

dent 308 wrote:This is a bad post. Trucks are very useful, thus they are being used. First of all it's a jeep. Second of all the only people that I have seen driving them so far NEVER leave the vehicle by choice and SUCK when they have to. The obvious conclusion: these are the people that have no gun skills whatsoever and have to rely on high explosive rounds and a two ton chassis just to take a logi down, but they still brag about their skills when they get a moderate KDR. Like it's really that hard to run someone who is running down in the middle of a football-field sized plain with a vehicle that averages about 50MPH. I have NEVER seen them contribute to their team in any other way than a self serving one, like I said they never leave the car. All the do is race around, throw a missile at every damn thing that moves and run people over. SO I what I am saying in this "bad post" Is that these nooblets need to man-up and fight the battles the way they are meant to be fought instead of hiding inside a metal box and annoying everyone else. How many times has anyone said "wow, it's a good thing we have that LAV driver on our team or we might've lost!"? Answer: NEVER. |

GM Kiriap wrote:Please try to not abuse of the vulgar language when you post something. Anyways, just a suggestion, players now can create squads and they are able to select a militia, heavy, etc... so this means someone in the squad can carry a Swarm Launcher and kill the Onikuma; this only need some coordination between member of the squad.
Have you actually tried creating a squad good sir? Cause I have, and every time we all get connected someones game freezes and we get disconnected. And believe me I have tried to spawn a heavy but it's hard to go anywhere with it when you are spawned in the middle of a battlefield surrounded by enemies due to this broken spawn system, especially when there are two LAV's already bearing down on you and you are in a heavy suit. A note on the spawn system: just got out of a game where I was spawned in front of a TANK, not once but THREE TIMES. I couldn't even get away to place a drop uplink because I was blown to hell before I even took my first step. |

Tony Calif wrote:AV nade > LAV Though I agree about picking up a gun and fighting like a merc at the objective. I tend to use LAV's to get from A - B. I fitted a railgun because they're rubbish, so people jump off and give me a hand :D ^THIS!!^ vehicles are supposed to be used as specialized weapons that are used for specific purposes, NOT racing around and spamming missiles. I am cool with someone using a LAV to get personnel into enemy territory and then provide cover TO THEIR TEAM while the incursion is in session, but racing around in them all game EVERY game is just cowardly and rarely useful to anyone but yourself. |

Sees-Too-Much wrote:It's not like you need a squad to take down the Onikuma. I let my roommate's friend play last night, he'd never played a shooter before and he managed to get a double kill on a couple of dumbarses driving around and not paying attention to the guy with the swarm launcher. I bet, and I think we have all taken down more than our fair share of LAV's, I have gotten plenty of double and triple kills on those, that's not my point. My point is that this is supposed to be a game based on teamwork and most of these people do nothing but race around and run people over, so this is me caling them out of their vehicles to see how well they fight without them. And as for easly killing them, when I am running in my assault or scout suit (the ones without AV grenades) I can't very well get to the resources I need when I am nowhere near a supply centre, the other team just spawned three of the damn things, and nobody else on my team has any AV supplies on them either. That added to the fact that it is a 50/50 chance you're about to be spawned directly in front of one of them |

I don't know about you but I don't usually feel like putting my ISK bought dropsuit on the line for something that may or may not work when I need it to. |

Lol, well if I was an HAV driver and an enemy spawned in front of me of course I'm gonna shoot, it's not on you though, the system should NOT be spawning a SCOUT in the middle of 5 people with assault rifles or a TANK with three people manning two rocket launchers and a railgun. Just ain't civilized. |

Our squads are currently limited to four people, we don't have corps, and general instability of the game make grouping really difficult. But if you've played EVE and seen what the player corps have accomplished, I'm sure you can imagine how different things will be when all that gets fixed. And I do look forward to that very much. I already have a HUGE clan coming over from MAG and I can't wait to be a part of the carnage when (fingers crossed) we can form an entire team of 16-24 friends instead of just 4. I have actually been on some well balanced teams so far where everyone looks out for each other (the right balance of logis with med-kits, nanohives and uplinks, snipers, heavy's etc.) and I do my part and we OWN, unfortunately it feels like the chances of these kinds of people geting grouped together is 1/1,000,000 |

And if you see me on drop me a line, I'll either logi-bro for your team or fly you around in my dropship. For sure, I know I have seen you a few times but you have been in red and in the dot on my sniper rifle ;) |

The only thing that needs to be changed is a limitation on ammunition. Dropship and LAV mounted missile launchers become a lot less fearsome when the operators have to conserve ammo to avoid getting caught empty against a few guys with AV weapons. +1 |
