Given the swarm launcher as the token anti-vehicle weapon, I for one believe a good old fashioned single rocket propelled weapon is order don't you think? A simple rocket launcher, unlike the swarm launcher, it fires a precise rocket (think the rocket launcher that the soldier of Team Fortress 2 weilds), designed simply to provoke splash damage in an intended area.
And there could be 3 variants:
- Anti-infantry: It will be lke the locus grenades we all enjoy at the moment, but with a rocket in it! - Anti-vehicle: same as above, AV Grenades deal - General purpose: a 50/50 of sorts (ratio can vary), that can damage anything, but far less effectively than the specialized ones.
And of course, these weapons will be non-seeking, single rockets (although I can welcome a weapon with more than one launcher, heheh), and in the spirit of EVE missile weapons, it's range is limited to meters by second and flight time (allowing greater tactical choices of weapons, long range, short range, etc.).
This weapon is standard in most FPS's, and I do hope it makes it's way to Dust 514. |

I like this Idea, although the mass drivers already have a role as short range splash damage weapons. I think they could implement this by creating a swarm launcher that fired only one rocket. Maybe that could rename the category "launchers" and have both swarm and single shot varieties. |

It has been mentioned already a few times. I think the shooting without locking on should just be more accurate and then you have your rpg styled launcher. |

Bazookas are supposed to be AV weapons. The swarm launcher is a futuristic version of a bazooka. The swarm launcher is an AV weapon.
If you want to kill infantry you have to use a grenade launcher. Our futuristic grenade launcher is the mass driver.
If you want to one-kill infantry from afar try the forge gun, it's fun when your enemy goes flying into the sky.

NO noob tube.
We need a rocket propelled grenade as well - a direct fire anti-personnel weapon not just a balistic launcher like the mass driver (which needs a sighting/rangeing mechanism built into the HUD) |
