So I just played a round on a team that did pretty poorly. Many times we were getting spawn camped and at least 8 times I died seconds after spawning. This is pretty frustrating if you're using a dropsuit and gear bought with AUR, its actually the reason I won't be buying a anymore gear that can be lost with AUR.
Just in my opinion, I'm not gonna spend real money on items I can easily lose in 5 seconds without even having a chance to use them.
Side note, losing items every time I die is really getting old. |

I'm not saying AUR stuff should be better. Their goal is to encourage purchases, and I'm simply giving feedback that I'll have no interest spending money on things lost so easily. Not exactly proposing a solution. |

That's the solution for me I agree, but you're missing the point of all this. CCP needs people to buy AUR for the game to survive, and if I don't want to use AUR items they're going to sell less AUR, thus risk not making enough money on the game. So even though there are solutions for me it doesn't help Dust succeed, hence my feedback. |

You guys are all missing the point of my post. I'm simply trying to tell CCP they're discouraging me from buying AUR. That's really it |

They can then even sell different accessories and kits for decorating.
Way to be one of the few who was actually capable of reading and understanding.
I agree with your idea. If CCP wants to sell cosmetic changes for real money it needs to be permanent. As it is now AUR drop suits are a poor purchase compared to ISK suits and this game will need AUR purchases to survive.
To anyone telling me to run free gear or get better, you missed the Damn point and have incredibly narrow points of view. |

Shiro Mokuzan wrote:Don't wear expensive stuff if you're playing ambush. Don't spawn into any fitting unless you're prepared to lose it.
If you used the AUR gear in ambush and died two seconds later, it's your fault--not that you died, but that you died in expensive gear.
Hell, I'm not going to bother using expensive stuff unless it's in a real Serious Business (TM) battle over territory or something where the outcome matters.
You missing my point and offering advice that while good, has no relation to the discussion, proves my original post correct. CCP needs to encourage AUR purchases without creating a "pay to win" situation, and as your post proves we are currently not encouraged to use AUR items, and are in fact discouraged to use them in many random matches where tram work is low and the average player will die a fair amount of times.
So in order to actually make more then just skill boosters worth the AUR they need to last longer. Which is why I propose permanent visual modifications to suits through AUR purchases. Stats remain unaffected to prevent "pay to win" but your suit is given a permanent unique appearance. Then AUR purchases would be more likely.
Too many of you won't broaden your view past your own ISK/AUR wallet. Dust will die without people buying AUR, so saying "dont use AUR items" will simply lead to Dust either going away or going subscription based. |

Yeah fixing spawns would be good. Though I still think more creative and worthwhile things to spend AUR on is necessary. When the game is finished I want to be able to support CCP with a reasonable amount of AUR purchased and used, but as it is other then skill boosters everything bought with AUR is a waste of AUR. |
