I have found that it is buttloads of fun to fit a remote repair module on an HAV and keep other HAV's alive.
The downside is that I don't see more people doing this. Trust me, its a lot of fun and the SP yields end up being worth it.
IF anyone has given this a try and likes it, post here! |

well i am using the "walking"/logistic way of repairing, how fast do you repair, and how much sp do you gain per "batch"? |

While the SP gains are pretty much the same, you repair a LOT faster. Remote reps heal at about 410 hp/s on vehicles.
its easier to do that to a friendly tank without the scare of being sniped....plus you have the added benefit of also shooting your guns while repping....its nice!
The downside is you cannot rep yourself while using the remote repair unit...

I wonder how well spider tanking would work.
Heavy booster I - 285/pulse * 5 pulses = 1425 HP every 30 seconds averaging out to 47.5 HP/sec
Now, if I'm reading Heavy Shield Transporter I right it recharges 342 HP/sec for 15 secs. Then it has to be restarted, I guess?
That's a HUGE improvement. Spider tanked/resist fit HAVs would be all but invincible. o_O |

is it possible it fit both a shield and armor transfer module onto a t1 HAV? so you can rep any tank you come across without refitting? |

Or the av guys just have to shoot the healing tank first. . . just like in TF 2 (but no seriously, are there any guys concentrating their fire on you once they realize you heal the other tank?) |

lol most of the time they are focusing their fire on whoever is the loudest (usually the one I am healing)
eventually some will start to get it and spec AV...then my life will be hell |

Who said tank were overpowered?
Infinite healing between multiple tanks. No that's not overpowered at all.
So I guess this is going to turn in to first person tank game. |

Tanks that heal others will be left with little cpu/pg for themselves. Thats why we have logi dropships and lavs but no logi tank |

If you think shield boosters are good then you should try out armor repair modules. They usually stay active for like 1 minute and have only a cooldown time of 3 seconds. Armor spider tanking is the way to go but people still keep using shield tanks mainly. And to the OP: do you actually get now points for boosting shields back up like when you repair something and a +25 pops up? |

I have only been doing strait armor repair and not shield boosting. I believe its the same though. I'm Gallente so I have not had an opportunity to try shields yet |
