Is there no way to change the spawn so that you are not spawned in with someone standing behind you waiting
On a game there, noticed no uplinks on the map, so I spawn in my logi with uplinks, and get dropped straight away, Spawn again another random spot, get dropped before I can move by someone else sitting looking at the spawn point. This happens another 3 times in a row.
I mean I could just not spawn in |

Won't help. Everyone will refuse to use the uplink, then come to the forum and complain about spawn deaths.

I would be for some "bays" in the red zone that are only accessible for one team. There is a spawnplace in each and the generator chooses one of them to spawn you there. |

The spawn system should work more like MAG, where you always have default spawn zones behind the "redline". These spawn areas are impossible for the enemy to attack and are outside of the battlefield. Once spawning in this safe zone, you can make your way onto the battlefield to complete your objectives. If the enemy manages to cross the redline through a glitch, they are killed instantly by land mines. |

I would almost agree with this, but eventually it would also end up like MAG where it would turn into a camp fest.
What should happen,is that instead of spawning in like it does now,you actually drop in from the CCP onto designated areas on the map.I mean, why is it called a dropsuit if you aren't dropping in from anything?
Actually, let me clarify that.Only the attacking team would drop in,up to a certain forward point of the defenses "line",unless CRU's are captured,or drop uplinks are placed past that point.Anywhere behind that line, the attacking team can drop in,and not just some set spawning areas.Kinda like how it is in Starhawk. |

I know the pain. no one ever uses the uplinks. apparently complaining on the forum is easier.

i should have said "squad" and not team.. the rest of teams usually a bunch of total 'tards we dont worry about them, they'll just rage quit the next match anyway and come here and make whine posts when there's things ingame they refuse to utilize
if u dont think it helps that's, fine, more power to my squad the fewer ppl who refuse to use them.. |

What my buddies and myself do, is spawn in as Logistics with uplinks. Place them at enemy flank positions, and let the choke points do the rest.
Or have a dedicated squad members, and escort him until he places one in a SMART LOCATION(not in open season territory) |

Signed, -A logi who always places drop uplinks I finally added a loadout specifically for dropping uplinks and had good usage of them. In one match I had at least 20 people spawn on my uplinks. Just try to make sure that your uplinks are right next to the fight. Somehow people think that having to walk more than 5 seconds is too much of a strain on their time so they decide to spawn on the other side of the map. |

I've been starting every fight with uplink spawning since the reset, and the results are incredibly inconsistent. I should probably start a drop uplink feedback thread...
Anyway, you'll have fights where your uplink will get a lot of use, but they're not that common. I find it gets the most use when you have fairly static battle lines, because as you mentioned having it close to the fight seems to help. Unfortunately static battle lines are not common, especially on teams that don't use uplinks, so putting your uplink close to the fight isn't possible, the fight keeps moving! |
