Ps3 Noob here - what do you Ps3 vets recommend headset wise for ps3 / dust ?
Maybe give a budget option as well as the obvious hi ends.
(If we don't use voice comms on this game it is gonna suck) |

I use a PS Bluetooth, got it for $20, you can probably find it for $10 now, it works great, has a mute option and is pretty comfortable. Battery is kind of low, about 4-5 hrs, then needs charging. |

Why would you spend money on a brand that's not related to the product you have when you can get a bluetooth for 10 bucks and it's fine.

Playstation's 7.1 Stereo Surround Sound headset
Playstation's Official Bluetooth headset (Make sure you do the power cycle well or else you'll have a low battery life time on it, mine usually last for days.)
AfterGlow Ps3 Version Headsets
Any other high quality bluetooth headsets will work.
Any old Bluetooth headsets you had before back in the day.
Plug in Play mic headsets (Through USB)
a Webcam.. Yup a Webcam can be used as a mic on the ps3. |

I have several headsets. I prefer corded, and nothing beats the original SOCOM PlayStation2 headset. However that was lost to me some years ago. I reccomend Tritton if you have the luxury funds to expend. Turtle Beach sucks, and the quality is not what you'd think. Life span is less then a year for what you paid for. Personally I reccomend on a budget Logitech corded headsets, or the official PlayStation3 corded headset purchasable at BestBuy. Great value for your money.
Though if you are awsome like me you are still rockin' the Warhawk and/or SOCOM:Confrontation bundle headset(s). Ha-ha. Stay away from Motorolla though for bluetooth headsets though.

I use a self made one that contents the chip of a 20 $ mic, the hull of a microphone used for calls in rail stations and a pair of speekers. It works well and you dont have to carry it always whats good on longer games. |

(Corded > Bluetooth) ^ Yea Turtle Beach isn't all that. I recently bought a set of Turtle Beach P11s,and they are pretty decent, especially for only 40 bucks when they usually run about 60 bucks.A decent Blutooth is about $30,so for an extra $10,you could get a headset that's specifically made for gaming.
I like the TB's so far,and can't complain about them.
