if you put an ar on heavy it becomes invincible because normally you take them out at a distance but when they have equal damage and 10x health you will never win

Lol this guy! Ccp has a history of having things well explained, it wouldn't make sense for heavies not to carry ars. If anything a light weapon should be the heavies back up like with tanks/ifvs having machine guns along with the main cannon |

We don't need to out run them and the assault suit against my heavy with an ar equals one dead assault because their hit direction actually works unlike against scouts |

I don't usually go to that extreme, but still do well against them at medium/short range. |

Heavies can have ARs but that most definitely DOES NOT make them invincible at all. They are slow, easy to hit (because of their size) and they cannot put as many modules on their suits as assaults can. One militia AR with no damage modifiers can take down a heavy. Especially if you aim for the head. (hurray for 150% efficiency!)

Heavies with AR get killed all the time. You just gotta stick close to cover, keep moving and flank, and take multiple bites out of him. Don't try and kill him in a single engagement - that's his forte and you'll usually loose.
As far as why heavies are 'allowed' to use ARs - there is no 'allowed' in New Eden, but there are many, many ways to die and loose all your stuffs =) |

I always use a heavy with an AR, don't have much choice since they NERFED the HMG, it got to the stage that it was pointless. I can still get 18 kills and only 6 deaths a match, people think they can stand in front of us and win. I don't think so. |

I think most heavies don't know how to lead their target. I'm a beast with the hmg because I have enough health to move to cover and make you get close then when you start strafing I lead my shots and I normally win a 1 on 1. Best way to kill a heavy is from behind or with friends, just don't stand right beside each other because the hmg will rip you both apart. |
