every build i keep hoping ccp will retain a moment of lucidity and make the default setting for voice chat to be on instead of off.
every build i am disappointed
there better be a very good reason for this |

If that was directed toward me, then it'd be best if you look at the Dev post in the 'but' thread.

My thing is: if the player is too dumb to figure it out after this long and this many people talking about it I PROBABLY don't want to hear anything they have to say |

The problem isn't hearing them, it's that they can't hear you. Having it set to default "off" effectively f*cks up voice chat because 75% of the team can't hear you say things like "the enemy is going to B", etc. |

if you're going to have an IQ test to participate in DUST or something, why not just have an IQ test?
this voice thing seems more like an oversight |

Why are you complaining? Turn voice chat on......and it stays on.....until YOU turn it off lol. I dont see the issue.
If you had to keep turning it on I could understand this thread, but once its turned on its not affecting you or you game in any way |

it causes a lot of confusion. even when somebody figures it out, most others haven't.
so all you hear is silence. i'm willing to bet that's where a lot of the rage over UVT comes from.
if you do everything right, and still hear silence, all that's left is to assume it's the UVT, or give up all faith in humanity. sadly it is the latter, but i totally understand people who jump to the former. |
