Whilst browsing the marketplace, some prototype variations have a significantly smaller PG/CPU requirements for the usage of the items. For example:
Freedom Mass Driver - 93 CPU 14 PG Boundless Assault Mass Driver - 10 CPU 16 PG (This Mass Driver in question uses more PG and CPU) 'Avalanche' Freedom Mass Driver - 51 CPU 7 PG (This Mass Driver in question uses less PG and CPU)
However, upon closer inspection, the Boundless Assault Mass Driver in actuality takes 102 CPU and 16 PG. This is with multiple variations of weaponry. The weaponry here includes:
Boundless Assault Mass Driver 80GJ Regulated Particle Cannon Freedom Assault Heavy Machine Gun Ishukone Assault Forge Gun Ishukone Assault Swarm Launcher
I'm unable to test on officer modules.
I'm currently using an SDTV and I am unsure if this is on the HDTVs as well. If I propose a fix, possibly smaller text to fit it all on there, or even have it scroll sideways, just to avoid confusion.
For those with an HDTV, could you please test to see if this is also on your screen on the Marketplace? Thanks. |

By giving the AUR gear "slightly" better or more desirable stats, they are able to sell AUR..
Unfortunately that means that players buying AUR are able to slot more damage mods/shield/whateva, of which what they slot is both easier to obtain at lower skill levels and either on par with or better then the Tier of gear its supposed to belong to.
Sounds like a solid business plan to me.......
Guess it is all supposed to even out when people are putting AUR gear on the market....which is something that EVE players might do... but there is currently no incentive for DUST players to trade AUR for ISK. It wasn't the AUR item in question I was concerned about. All of the items I listed in question are actually ISK variants.
And the CPU and PG is not a bad thing on variations of equipment. Take for example the Standard Mass Drivers For CPU/PG for each:
36/5 40/6 36/5 36/5 (AUR)
The AUR variant has slightly higher damage on direct, splash, and radius for 3 AUR, same level of training, comparing to the standard Mass Driver.
Going onto the Advanced Mass Drivers now
51/7 56/9 51/7 93/14 (AUR)
Now the AUR variant here has CPU/PG equivalent to that of a Prototype variant of a mass driver, but it takes less skill in order to equip it, as well as slight increases in damage and radius, comparing to the standard advanced mass driver. You'd have to sacrifice alot on your dropsuit in order to fit that beast. Heck even with skills maybe, unless you are running a prototype suit.
But what I'm really going on about here is that it just doesn't show the CPU properly on some of this equipment. Shows as a 10 or 11 unless you use the Show Info button and check out the fitting stats. I was asking if there could possibly be a scroll option to avoid confusion. |
