Can you please list your fitting and how many copies for each item do you have?
I autouote myself (lame) in order to avoid misunderstanding. Probably are things that you already know, but are useful to draw a baseline:
GM Unicorn wrote:WRONG! See Michael P Jagger postCan you provide me some figures? The restock option will give you X amount of granted spawn with that particular fitting, not X more copies of any item fitted. For example: Fitting 1, named "Fluffy Dinosaur" Logistic Dropsuit with Assault Rifle "Unicorn" + Grenades "Faceroll" + Damage Mod "over9000"and your current stocks are: Logistic Dropsuit 20x Assault Rifle "Unicorn" 12x Grenades "Faceroll" 10x Damage Mod "over9000" 9x If you restock up to 9x the whole "Fluffy Dinosaur" fitting, the cost will be 0 ISK/AUR because you have at least 9x of each item needed. If you restock up to 10x you will charged only for a Damage Mod "over9000". If you restock up to 21x you will be charged for Logistic Dropsuit 1x + Assault Rifle "Unicorn" 9x + Grenades "Faceroll" 11x + Damage Mod "over9000" 12x Maybe you know that already and it's actually a bug (so a line to [email protected] would be awesome) , but I was herpderping a lot during the very first restocks due to that mechanic :) |

I can find it out, post it and help you with the math, if you don't mind. Let me know! ;) |

Perhaps I'm wrong but in the current build I believe you get as many more of each item you buy as the count in the "restock" popup. For example, if I have a fitting with a swarm launcher and I have 15 swarm launchers in inventory when I restock the fitting to "1" I end up with 16 swarm launchers.
The way GM Unicorn describes it in the post is the way it was supposed to work in the last build. |

ok so restocking will restock the full amount of items and will not just restock what is needed to form 1 tank. or 1 anything. I got to say that seems like a worse situation than last build... why was it changed and can u bring the old way back. |

I think the system in the last build made more sense. If you had extra of an item it just didn't stock the item, and adjusted the total price accordingly. This system essentially requires you to either buy items individually to save ISK or spend the extra ISK for convenience. I vote to bring back the restocking system from the last build, especially since we get loot now. |

Being a PlayStation Plus member, I wasn't here for the any previous build, but hearing GM Unicorn's description made me really happy to know I didn't have to worry too much about restocking. Until I read further down this thread.
I can't imagine any benefits from switching over to the current system. If I want to have 20 complete Logistic Dropsuits, then I don't even need to buy a single one. But I obviously need 8 Unicorns, 10 Facerolls, and 11 0ver9000s. Purchasing 11 of everything is justing wasting money that I could be spending elsewhere. |

The only problem with the last builds restock system was if you had 2 fittings that used the same item eg a nanohive, you restock both fittings to 10 you still only have 10 nanohives so after using 5 of each fitting, both fittings go invalid even though you 'stocked' 10 of each.
The new version gets round this by giving you 10 of that suit to use no matter where you duplicate items on other fittings, however as already mentioned, loot items will just build up in assets but more over, the 50 starter items you get like armor rep and extenders will never get used, you build a suit, restock it by 10 and have 60, use 10 and it's invalid but you've still got 50 reps.
The solution is a little complicated as you'd have to 'tag' items that are used by multiple fits and when one of those fits is restocked it would check how many of the other fits are currently stocked and set aside that many of that item, then buy however many you're asking to restock the current fitting by. This would work great but it would be complicated to code I imagine and would have to compute stockings of all fits that share any item with the one you're restocking.
As a work around during the current build you can restock individual items in the fitting screen by editing the fit, selecting the item you're low on, pressing X and selecting restock. This is how I make sure I have 10 of each fitting and then buy 10 more nanohives so I know I can use 10 of each fit before they go invalid. This however doesn't works for the actual suits as there's nowhere to select it to restock, you'll have to go to market to buy them, unless it's Militia, then it's unlimited anyway. |

Edit* as poster above explained the sort of half a work around already. That is: method to restock individual items in a fitting using edit fitting option.
Saves trips to market until you run out of the drop suit or vehicle itself. TIme for coffee.
I like the idea of stocking fittings so you don't run out of one because it shares items with another.
But I liked also being able to re-stock an entire fitting the old way, by trying a few different modules and when there was one that worked or that I liked just restocking the whole fitting to get as many as I needed. |
