We are aware that there are issues and bugs that need to be ironed out and should have been. However, we are still implementing new features and this is because of production planning, i.e. the need to keep building C&D after building A&B. We can't stop making new features and fix only bugs at this stage, since we need to keep testing new things that we introduce. That is the true purpose of the Beta.
Having said that, we will of course fix existing issues and bugs, but understand that we have to balance priorities against available resources. We do have a long list of bugs (many reported by beta testers on this very forum) and we are dedicating development time towards fixing them. oh, so priorities are towards putting in more stuff, not balancing it, and not fixing the big bugs? that does explain a lot It makes more sense to put everything in and then get the bugs out instead of putting some stuff in, getting the bugs out, putting more stuff in, getting the new bugs out, etc.
This. As someone who works with software development, I can tell you that CCP's approach is right on. Remember, if they implement a fix for an issue today, there is not way to anticipate how that fix will interact with the other features being introduced. The best way to implement fixes to have a complete product first, so they know how everything interacts. If they dedicate time to fixing bugs now and then have to fix them again once a new feature is released, then the production schedule will not be met and we won't have the game as quickly as if they fixed bugs after the product was complete with all new features.
I am not saying this as a fanboy, I'm saying this as a technology professional for one of the world's leading firewall companies. |

So basically what you're saying is is that this build is permanently screwed?!
Words. Twisted. Good job. Your boyfirend must love that.
