Seriously, can someone tell me the science behind this? Shouldn't CCP make you want to play the game more and better instead of playing 8 games before it stops even being worth it to try because it doesn't make a difference if you hack every objective and kill every person 10 times because you are only getting 8,000 sp?
P.S. WHAT exactly determines SP and ISK payouts? Because whatever the mechanism is it seems broken to me: 20,000 SP, 80,000 ISK and awesome salvage on the first game of one day with a KDR of 2-3 and on a losing team, and the very next day, first game as well: 13,000 SP, 40,000 ISK, KDR of 23-2, WINNING team, NO salvage. |

Drake Gro'Dar wrote:I can't remember where I saw it but they stated that sp after a match is just a bonus and that passive sp is the main sp gain so it fits more with eve and learning skills over time. As for the isk I think that will change when we go live and the capsuleers start dropping money on us to gain them planets, some of the corps in EVE could outfit an entire team for life and not even think twice about the cost so I'm sure it will change. To me that only makes sense to a minimal degree, as far as SP wouldn't you gain Skills faster by DOING the things that require the skill? Instead of sitting in a room all day and gaining brainliness and knowledgy things? |

Jarre Jardox wrote:the point of diminishing returns is so u dont grind and get a ginormous advantage over players who dont have the time to grind like the weekend warriors. ^This^ Okay, that makes sense, I only play on weekends and some nights between my gf and work, but I still feel like those people that grind the game are way ahead with or without diminishing returns, would just like to see some consistency is all |

Jarre Jardox wrote:btw u have 3 character slots, each one gains sp on its own not the account like in eve. so when u get diminishing returns on one char just log of and log into another which wont have diminishing returns. Does this actually work? It sounds kind of like a loophole that ccp would not allow in game |

in order to slow the sp reduction change up the way you play. How would one go about slowing sp reduction exactly? |

in order to slow the sp reduction change up the way you play. How would one go about slowing sp reduction exactly? if you were focusing more on killing guys and lonewolfing it be more of a team player try rezzing or dropping hives after a little bit of doing that focus more on being av or using different gear or start doing a ton of hacking. i do a little bit of everything when i play i hack kill and rez with the injector i put on my assault class and avg 65-85k sp a game Lol, I see we haven't been teamed up yet, I have lost count of the times I have gone and hacked every hackable location on an entire map (almost all the objectives on an A-E map and 90% of all installations, no assist either. And then I go and snipe out anybody that tries to take what I worked to get, or I'll take shots at enemies skirmishing or ambushing my team, either killing them or taking them down to 1% so my teammates get kills. So no, no lone-wolfing as such, when things get heavy on the frontline I will get in there with my assault suit too. The only thing I haven't really done extensively in this build yet is logi and leveling up my nanotech so I can put down hives (been working on that lately though). What is "rezzing" though? not familiar with the term I guess. |

Bob Deorum wrote:just becuase it is the next day for you does not mean it is the next day for ccp.... Between work and sleep it is usually at least 24 hours between plays, if the reset doesn't coincide with that then that is bogus either way, like a prev. poster said, benefits east coasters way more than people out here in hawaii |

Figured it was something like that, following theschizogenious's suggestion I just played a few games as a logi, I revived a bunch of teammates, murdered a bunch of enemies, dropped nanohives all over the place etc. I think I came out of it with a little more money but nothing really substantial |
