Can someone tell me about how snipers work in this game. I find it incredibly difficult to hit anyone at range with the default snipers. I picked the starting class to have some sniper skills, but I still feel useless.
Is there bullet drop on the snipers? That could explain some of it. Because even against stationary targets, I cant seem to hit them properly with a sniper. At mid range I can hit fine.
If there IS bullet drop, is there any way to see where your bullet impacted. I dont notice a splash of dust or something like other games have to let you adjust your shot. Seems sort of like "fire and pray" but maybe I am doing something wrong. |

I do mainly sniping, I haven't noticed any bullet drop, rounds fly straight it seems. Hit boxes can be kind of wonky. Example, you shoot someone, their shields flash and no damage registers. You could be shooting out of your rifles range, there is a light weapons skill that increases your weapons effective range, I don't recall the skill name but you might invest a few points into it. |

No bullet drop, but you do need to lead your shots. I'd go for other snipers mainly, since they tend to be easiest to hit, and yes it is somewhat hard to hit anything. Just keep pounding it, it will die eventually. |

There is no bullet drop. I would look for targets that aren't moving and take the time to line up your shot as perfectly as you can. I get lots of one shot kills from head shots, just takes practice and patience to find the right target. Assaults suits and heavies moving in the open can be taken down with 2 or 3 shots to the body especially if they have already been engaged and taken some damage.
I use a militia sniper rifle with very few sp poured into it. Been training shields and fitting skills since the new build then will work on advanced scout suit. |

It took me 5 games before I realized you could Crouch with Triangle, which makes your aim a LOT steadier. I know, nubcake move, but itGÇÖs not well labeled on the controller configuration screen. Hope that helps.
