We need more droplinks out there and for more people to use them. Good use of a D.U. can change a game around as it is the difference between spawning in a group of friendlies or having to run a minute or two through enemy territory to get to a squad.
and everyone should have a militia build with a D.U. as you can drop it near a supply depot and switch back to a build you prefer.
and a tip to those who want to start using DU's people spawn the way you are facing when you throw them, and make sure to throw them in a place people can get their bearings before having to deal with enemy gunfire.
any other DU tips, tricks or comments? |

the key to winning ambush is hiding a drop uplink in a good defensible, out of the way, position. Being able to spawn, check the map, and THEN go get shot at is fantastic, not just for actual performance, but for morale. If people are just spawning into gunfire, they stop using their isk and aurum fits, cementing the enemy advantage. At least "getting that one kill" they might continue using better gear. |

I honestly drop them every game and D on top of them if its Ambush. My only problem is half the team still chooses default spawn like my up link is camped or some stupid ****. |

just toss them into a nook or cranny to keep it out of most peoples line of sight. i prefer dropping them between a supply depot and a hard place- a supply depot tends to make the spot more defensible as well as eliminating the need for a nano-hive.

problem with up links is that they take a boat load of CPU so fitting those to say a scout suit requires a shoe horn. |

That's why I have shoe-horning to IV so far, with my eyes on V. |

shoe-horning is one of the best skills. i assume shoe horning are the ones that boosts your cpu or pg, right? |

Dragonfly or Militia Scout Suit.
Militia Shotgun/AR/Sniper (your choice - whichever you perform best with.). Militia Drop Uplink. Whatever other gear you can squeeze into the remaining gaps. If you can fit a sidearm, it MIGHT be possible to do Swarm/SMG if you really want to push your luck.
Enjoy. |

I use a militia logi suit with an uplink and nanohives. I find a spot for the uplink, then drop both hives and either change my fit at a supply depot or fight until I die and pick a more combat oriented fit. |
