Then when they turn up the graphics, they will be able to deal with the resulting problems knowing that they are graphics issues and not game issues.
This is a beta. You play it only 50% because you enjoy the game itself. The other 50% is enjoying the process--trying new things, giving feedback, seeing things change. If you don't enjoy the process, wait until the game comes out to judge it.
There isn't any way of pleasing everyone. I just got into the beta yesterday and I am pleased to see how well they've gotten it polished so far. But, then being an EvE player I'm used to having to wait on things to pan out. People that whine and complain about this are the same sorts that come into EvE from world of warcrap or one of it's clones and then whine after 5 minutes about it being too hard, and they don't understand and so on. Of course CCP likes to make money, it's a business.....but at the same time they are willing to not bow down to the common denominator gamers that want everything now now now. |

CONSOLE.....capslock so you can see it. geez......@_@ Guys, you really don't understand that majority of people want good F2P FPS, not some kind of F2P MMO with shooting? They want 'MAG in space" or "deeper Halo" not "EVE on foots". Is it really so hard to understand? And don't bring EVE here - eve is a subscription based game with a very good community. EVE players are willing to pay for what they are getting, but DUSt is gonna be F2P. Big difference and IMO biggest mistake from CCP p.s. sorry for my English
Why should CCP make the game just like every other sci-fi FPS out there? Will they somehow suddenly pull the market share from every other game??? And do you really think they have the time and money like DICE and all the others to just make a new fps every year that's pretty much the same as the last one? If they did it would be just like any other FPS. After 4 months or less the console kiddies that go in for those would just move off to the next incarnation of Battlefield or CoD or whatever happens to come out.
