Can we get a reclaiming feature for vehicles in the final game? Its really annoying if you have a AV tank which has no chance against a constant stream of damage.
Maybe items could not be removed from a reclaimed tank without destroying the whole fit.
Edit: The vehicles must have a certain amount of HP and it should take at least 25 seconds until the RDV comes to prevent a quick escape option.
Edit 2: The driver should select the reclaim button on the right dpad and this would kick out all passengers and lock the tank. |

If you can't afford to lose it, don't bring it to the battle. |

Whether or not you can afford it, its pretty stupid to have a vehicle just laying around once you no longer needed. The RDV physically can take it back, so I why not just have it take it back?
I like this idea, but it should only be an option for vehicles with intact armor to prevent people for sending their vehicle back to escape its loss because they're about to be destroyed. |

I agree with this and edit the OP. And there should be at least a 25 sec timer. |

I like the idea even if it's nearly dead. If it can stay alive to have an RDV come in and pick it up, it should live. |

Hm. Like drones in EVE. Send them out, they take damage, pull them back. If they make it back to the drone bay before popping, then I just pay a repair bill back at the station hanger.
If your vehicle is no longer needed, or damaged to the point you may lose it, back track, park it and call for road-side pick-up. Maybe call for pick-up en route to a safe spot and leave on pick-up. The damage remains on the vehicle until you end the game and return to your personal quarters where you could then pay for vehicle repairs. Maybe tack a pick-up fee or something because it would cost fuel and time to the pilot/crew to get yet another call back down to the battle field for just a flat tire. I would love to by a 30 day/isk subscription service such as EVE AAA road side assistance insurance ;) Have a certificate in the marketplace...
This may slow things down a bit though, trying to get it out of immediate harm's way. That would be a liability for you and your team. So... the option could exist, but would you take the risk of losing an objective to wait for the call down? Would other players onboard be auto dumped on pick-up if they don't realize what's going on? Perhaps someone would jump in thinking you're heading to the next objective only to be dropped halfway to anywhere useful. Alone it's cool. In team settings, it may require more communication. Dunno.
That's all I got at the moment. Your request seems logical when compared to EVE. IHMO. |

This idea was brought up in the past and well received.
Once again stating my support for this idea, and adding the previous suggestion that this method must be able to steal enemy vehicles, if you manage to hack them and get them to a place they can be safely extracted. |

I thought a bit and maybe if you call the RDV to pick the vehicle the vehicle could get shutten down so it has no radar icon anymore and nobody could enter it. The button could be accessible on the right dpad button under the vehicles and orbital strikes. |

You'd have to be in the driver's seat to select the recall option, which would kick everyone out of the vehicle and lock it down. Don't take it off the radar, though. The enemy should still be able to lock on and destroy it. Just one of the risks. |

or drive it around in circles while you play taxi waiting for your gunners to claim objectives.(oh wait isn't that what you have to do now?) in the full game if the battles are going to take a lot longer than they currently do an hour plus, then locking up you vehical similar to claiming an objective ( outside the vehical), then protecting it till the RDV comes. just a 25 seconds til the RDV takes it away sounds to easy if it means so much to the owner(they should have left it in their quarters to shine during DT)

25-30 second are enough because you cannot repair them without a external repairer and they can be shooten down from the RDV too. |

Why not? If it can bring them then it could take them back too. It picks them up after the battle anyway. |
