Before the precursor update, I was earning anywhere from 150k to almost 500k ISK a mission, even in some of the worst games I was in. Now with the precursor patch, I am barely making 80k to 100k (if I am even that lucky, usually walking away with about 40-60k). I very much remember that payouts were suppose to be increased when the precursor hit to help out with the huge price hike of tanks and such. But with the current payouts, I can just barely break even after having to replace suits, and usually having to eschew purchasing skill books because I can either only afford suits, or skill books, but not both. I can understand the reduction in XP rewards and all, but if your going to go with the current payouts, people are going to just get tired of this kind of 'breaking even' gameplay, and will get very tired of the game and play something else. I really think you need to increase mission payouts by roughly 20-50% of what they currently are, because at this rate (as someone who has been in this beta since mordu's private trials started) I am just going to play another game because I cant even afford to keep my merc properly equipped going from one match to another.
One thing I believe that exacerbates the issue is we cant even choose between skirmish or ambush gameplay. And considering 2 of the maps in current rotation just ends up being sniper fights, drop suits get burned so fast its like they are going out of style. If I was a constant player of just ambush maps, it would be my own fault for going through dropsuits faster than expected, but considering we currently have no choice over what game type we can play, and how poor the current rewards are, its almost not even worth playing. Aside from earning a little XP inbetween the sniper matches the game effectively boils down to, If I cant keep my merc fed with dropsuits, I am not even going to waste my time in this endeavor (which I had really high hopes for). I will keep an eye on updates and dev posts, and play some matches here and there, but its painful to play one match to another constantly just having to use militia gear because all my other suits get eaten up by snipers. |

From what I've heard, payouts are supposed to be (at least partially) based on the equipment everyone is using. Considering we went from almost everyone in prototype and advanced gear (and spamming vehicles like there was no tomorrow) to everyone in militia gear, it's a given that payouts should be lower. It is making it difficult to upgrade to more expensive equipment, but once people do, rewards will go up, and you'll be able to sustain that more expensive equipment more easily. |

I have gone down to just only use the advance-type 2 assault armor and the breach assault rifle and militia for everything else because I just dont get enough payout to keep up with more expensive gear from one match to another. Especially considering how many people are snipers because the dragonfly suit and milita sniper rifles dont cost a thing and you can 1-2 shot everything thats not a heavy. |

I was having the same problem, then I changed my mindset. Try to maximize the field effectiveness of your militia fits. I guarantee you won't see a drop in your overall Contribution points, which are all that's important since deaths don't matter and losses don't matter.
I have a couple million ISK saved right now and honestly, there is nothing for me to spend it on and won't be until I hypothetically hit about 5-6million SP and can only further increase my effectiveness by fitting proto.
To put it another way, the only result that matters is the amount of SP you get at the end of a battle. Deaths have no effect on this number, winning or losing have no effect on this number, and the quality of your equipment is unlikely to have any meaningful effect on this number. |

Use militia fits for easy money. I killed a guy in an advanced suit a few times, and his tank, got 200 000 ISK. |
