Is there an issue with the SP gain system currently, or am I missing out on some of the finer points of gaining SP? My Roomie and I both got into the beta and we have noticed that I am getting significantly less SP then him, even at the same KDR and points gained per match. It is only a difference of around 1000 points or so on average.
Now, normally would not raise any flags, but I have a SP Booster implant. He doesn't.
So after quite a few games we managed to get a couple where we got the same KDR and assist count, and did not get any other points. He still beat me out by around 500SP, after my 50% boost. There have even been matches where I went around 14/1 and he was like 8/7. Still got more points than me.
So does the skill booster just fill out the little circle to make you feel like you earned more SP, is there currently an issue with calculations, or is there some sublte (Troll-tastic if I were to quantify it) math to SP gain I'm missing out on? |

Taking objectives plays a big part in Sp gain, as well as things like using Drop Uplinks, Nano hives, etc.
Are you both full on assault types, or is someone taking objectives? |

I run Heavy, he runs assault. On the games where we were trying to get the same number of points we didnt hack anything or drop any supplies.
My roomie did just bring up that his account was created from the free giveaway to EVE players, while mine was from the buy-in. Possible solution? I really hope not. |

I could be wrong, but l believe the quality of the targets you take out and the equipment you are using gain you more points as well.......say your using low tier against a top tier person and win, you get more Sp.
He also lm guessing brings down a lot of Dropships and tanks, which has Sp bonuses too, more so then a standard kill/assist[think its like 50-100]. |

I got 38k by being an utter kill ***** and sat in a large rail turret for the entire match ...
I only got 12/0 but I also killed an eryx, some LAV and 2 other turrets and hacked some objects and this is without a booster btw. |

I was under the impression that taking out better/higher level players was an ISK reward and not an SP reward. |

I believe that the SP booster allows you collect SP *faster*, not collect a greater amount. If you are both playing enough to hit deep grinding territory, the difference will become negligible.
That is my understanding at least. |

I thought that when viewing the screen at the conclusion of a match it shows you SP based on your specific contribution to the match...say 10,000 (and I thought SP was directly correlated to war points and command points for squad leaders). So if your contribution was 10,000 SP worth, than with the booster, you would receive 15,000 SP for that match (10k for contribution and 5k from the booster). |

I got my EvE-code this spring if that's what you're asking ?
Took me a while to find a cheap PS3 to play with though; found my self almost new one for 70Gé¼ which was a keeper.
Which is good since after 6 years of EVE I was in need of something different. |

I was wondering because I have made a battlefield a no-fly zone before, through a combo of tanks and swarms, I didn't let enemy tread hit ground, got like 20K for that game, after boost. Now I kind of wish I personally knew more people in the beta. I kind of want to try an experiment, have people annotate all their point gains and their end of game SP, then separate that out into buy-ins and invites.
Side question, any other buy-ins getting what seems to be a really low amount of SP? |

When did you join?
With this build they dropped the ISK/SP gain to what l believe will be the true amount when the game goes Live.

I joined in this build.
But that is somewhat irrelevant as my roomie with the EVE code is also playing in this build, so theoretically we should receive the same base points for the exact same actions. I mean, it could just be some odd coincidence as we have only sunk about 18 hours each into this build, but it is rather odd to us that he earns more points than me on a consistent basis with near matching KDR, and I have a skill booster in. |

understood and I could be wrong as well...
I agree, some sort of guide would answer a lot of questions but then we would just have a new thread complaining about the guide...

Don't you gain more SP for your initial game or two per day? Or something? Honestly this stuff is super vague and it would be cool if they had more transparency involved with ISK/SP rewards. |

Keep in mind that when you turn on your game for the first time in a 24 hours period, you gain SP more quickly and it deteriorates over time within that 24 hour time frame.
EX;
your first game of the night you perform A, B and C and your stats are X, Y, and Z --- your SP is say 40,000
in your 7th game of the night, you perform A, B, and C and your stats are X, Y and Z (the EXACT same as your first game) --- your SP will only be about 20,000
now if you take this into account, maybe you are playing your third game of the night and your roommate is on his first or second --- you two perform the exact same but he gets more SP... |
