Any theory why the latest update causes my motion sickness much sooner? Mind, I've always felt nauseated after playing FPS for some time, but before the latest patch, I could play DUST514 for much longer before it kicks in. Was the FOV changed? Or, is it that this update is more immersive? |

Some of those LAV drivers are CRAZY, and if you're riding shotgun...
Seriously, the draw distance was tripled on the last build, so there is more geometry "moving" when you look around. While this is generally good, in that it looks better and you can see farther, it also increases the illusion of depth and movement.
When your eyes tell you you're moving, and your inner ear tells you you're not, the body can become convinced that it has been poisoned. This in turn causes nausea, a compulsion to let your body eject the poison.

Ah! Makes sense: more immersive game increases motion sickness.
I've stocked up on ginger extract pills (hurray for the Penny Sale at Holland & Barrett), but I suppose a valid request to CCP is...
... CAN WE HAVE ADJUSTABLE DRAW DISTANCE PLEASE? |

I think a partial reason(ing) as to why some people are being afflicted in-game by motion sickness is simpy due to the games associated motion blur. I noticed this was added during the build(s) updates. While minor compared to some known games you can edintify it, and see it functioning. At first I thought I was only imagining this, but the more I play this build I find myself noticing it more, and harder to deny. |

I was overwhelmed by the cool graphics and the feeling of sick, I did not notice the motion blur. |

Try "sea legs" its a motion sickness prevention medication available over the counter.
You might want to get you self checked out for epilepsy, which is a spectrum disorder. Some people are epileptic and never have fits but experience dizziness in the presence of harsh stimulus such as repeating sounds, flashing images. Whats more is such stimulus can agitate the condition and bring on full blow epilepsy. Get to the doctor, just to be safe. |

Not just motion sickness. This build gave me my first migraine attack in 15 years. The cause were the excessive shaking whenever a vehicle as much as touches anything but level ground or an obstacle. |

Hasn't bugged me. But I've had motion sickness only once (that I can remember), and that was after too many carnival rides in a row. |

Strangely, I manned the gun in an LAV, and that was much more comfortable than running around. The driver was brilliant, to be fair. |

Usually people tend to get sea sick when they are moving but have no point of reference for example on a boat under the deck at heavy seas. Watching the horizon helps a lot. Perhaps while being gunner at LAV you had chance to notice more landscape and so the brain got less confused.

I seem to experience motion sickness in fps's more when tired. This might be another reason. |
