The maps are too big for 24 players. You have to run around way too much to find some action, and sometimes over half the enemy team sit in LAVs/tanks all game which makes the game even more boring and you end up running circles around the map trying to find a single person to kill. How much longer until support for 48 players? |

You've no idea what you're talking about.
Mag is 256 players. It'll go beyond 256 on PS4, if they even change number of players. 256 has been tested and works fine. Most likely choice is 88 players as that's what they have previously said, but they want more.

Lag is connection-related not ram/CPU related. 256 was tested and works on dust. |

128v128 would be almost impossible to do, there is no way it would go anywhere higher than that. There has only been 1 game to pull off the 128v128 (Ps3 exclusive MAG released back in 2010 to decent praise, held about an 8/10 due to good gameplay, but technical issues), and even that game only had 1 mode that supported the 128v128. 64v64 would probably be the highest they would go, as that is a good match size, at least I think so. So crimson, the PS3 could handle it, it is just very unlikely to see due to the technology |

The devs mentioned in-house testing of 64 vs. 64 during the previous build, pretty sure there were transcripts posted here at the very least, and it might have been posted here by one of the devs as well.
It's reasonable to assume that they've also tested higher numbers than that in the time since. Saying it works MIGHT mean "it works on a LAN" though, so it's not necessarily something they'll be implementing in the full game. |

Actually I never did have a bad experience with the 128 vs 128 mode (Domination) in MAG. Well out of a whole year that I have played through it, my ps3 froze but thats just a few times. I'm sure 256 players is well supported. Just a matter if CCP decides to implement it. I would love to test it. |
